Pack some markers, grab some food, hang out with random internet people I've never met or even talked to before... hey, why not.
What have I told you about meeting random people from the internet in a public park!
...that you should only meet them alone in a dark alley after 9PM?
Right, because only people with balls go to dark alleys at night. So you know that you can get on with them.

youngest sister is graduating high school tomorrow, the last of six to go through that school. she's headed to ESF on a full scholarship after winning forestry award after award, the smart cookie.

one more month of unemployment/no health insurance, then a training trip to philly, then the 9-to-5 grind begins.

my comp exam for my degree is scheduled for the day after the training ends, which means I have to try use up one of my vacation days to take it. SUUUUUCK.

Now now, it was a very sunny and happy-looking public park!

It was also pretty much what I was expecting.
Random meetup, kind of meh, pretty boring and why-did-i-come-here until I ran into some loud friendly people and hung out with them for an hour or two.

When people started yelling things like "LOL" and "HEART" and "FOR THE HORDE" I decided it was probably time to go home.

Having trouble with my old school. After all the fuckups of the school my brother's in now, we were gonna move him to my old junior high. He sat an entrance exam, then went to Cyprus to get evaluated for any sort of disorders or whatever.
Results for both tests came back. He suffers from phonetic dyslexia or something with a similar name. Like, the letters don't jumble up in his head, but he has a hard time linking letter groups with phonetic sounds, which hurts him when he's writing on his own accord too.
And the entrance test for the junior high came back and they were like "yeahhhh, he just didn't make it"
so we said
"Well, he just got diagnosed with dyslexia, so he didn't score super hot on the written segment, come on, cut the kid some slack"
"Yeahhhhhhh.... nooooooooooo"
I'd like to say I've lost the last of my hope in educational establishments in general, but that was a while ago

Damn, that sucks.

On another note, moving abroad sucks too. So much to do, so little time. I just want it to be over and done with, I want to finally BE in Dublin, start my new job, and get on with it argheblarghegarghle!

so like i've been dealing with this shitty new roommate for a month. her friend, my roommate for the year, hasn't been very helpful either. i have lost sleep because they insist on playing loud music all the fucking time. i mean, CELINE DION AT 8AM is ridiculous enough, but to hear her sing to it is just too much. i have told her many times to just lower the volume but she just refuses to be cooperative. last night, it was saturday, i'm like...could you guys just lower the volume a bit? i'm about to go to bed. they insulted me once i closed the door. how do i know?

they were loud even then. they just refuse to be reasonable.

so i go to the landlord and i'm like, i know its individual leases but what the fuck do i do about this? i can't sleep and i'm paying money to live there too. the landlord asks for her name, and i told her and she's like....She's not suppose to be living there. the last roommate never turned in her key. and i'm like...omg. its an illegal subleaser or something. i'm so irritated because the girl is suppose to leave in 5 days anyway. so like...would you rat her out, even though she's leaving? because i don't want the other girl who is her friend and will remain my roommate to give me any hell.

You told the landlord she's living there... haven't you technically already ratted her ass out?

I definitely think you should rat her out. I mean they're already being awful to you why would this worsen it even more? And yeah it sounds like you indirectly did anyway. Plus if you want you can request that it be kept confidential as to how she was found out.

I got an A on my second Bio test and I thought I failed it! That's 2 down both with A's and only 2 left! Omg if I get an A in Bio I think I'll freak out! I never get more than a B in Sciences.

My dad moved out and rented an apartment on the other side of the town.
I'm starting to get along better with my mom, since I made her understand where she was mistaking, but I still keep a certain distance.

I don't even know if we're going on any vacation this summer.

And I need to find somebody to talk to, or else I'll go nuts.(if I haven't already) I'm going out tomorrow and I'll get myself a teddy bear.

I really can't say anything, because I'm sure I've told some things most people shouldn't really know and more than likely wouldn't care to know in the past, but I think that you should spend more time talking to someone that can actually invest in helping you than telling us online. I mean, you seem to have crap happen a lot and I feel for you, but it may help, ya know?

...Hey, I know a forum of friendly art people, maybe they can help me with my problem!

See, I just bought a rather nice new graphics tablet - not to brag, but it's a fancy-ass model that rhymes with Mintiq.

It came with a lovely installation and hardware guide that gives me absolutely no direction as to what to do once the thing is connected, and I'm having problems.

I can't figure out how, or if it's even possible to get programs to open directly on the display. My display setup seems to require that the screens be set 'next' to eachother, so that I can send my mouse from display to the other by simply moving it right or left - and since I run a Mac, this fucks with my hot corners, and I keep sending my mouse off into no-man's land by accident.

I can drag a program window from one screen to the other, but since Photoshop Elements doesn't float, this doesn't help me much. I can move a single drawing down but that's a pain in the ass.

Plus, I have a cold of some kind, and it's making me tired and cranky and extra nervous.

I'm terrified I spend a thousand dollars on a pretty piece of equipment that works stupid on my computer and that I won't use enough to justify the purchase. And since it's basically the nicest tablet you can get, if it doesn't work, nothing will.

I probably can call a hotline or find some kind of helpline on the internet, but I'm so tired and sick right now I don't have the energy.

*slams head into desk many, many times*

Well I got internet in my new apartment. I turned 30 yesterday. Realized I have like no money so I need to get a crappy job tomorrow so I cut off all my hair so I can pass off as kinda normal (with natural hair colour... bleck). Also my heart was shattered, and I'm still trying to come to terms with it.

Ontop of that, I realize that I don't really feel the pull to be on the internet as much as I use to, maybe the addiction is leaving. I have no appetite, and videogames have suddenly lost all the splendor I( the last two have been about a week now in the works and don't relate to the broken heart).

My life is either plunging into a really frightening abyss, or I'm on the cusp of something completely brilliant. guess I'll wait and see what happens.

I thought it said "natural hair color... black" before re-reading it. All this doesn't help my fear of turning 30 next May. On that note, I didn't realize your birthday was at the end of June. Maybe something good is going to happen soon?
