How long did you wait to "pimp" your comic?
Re: How long did you wait to "pimp" your comic?
Well, It was in production for a year before I launched it. I was drawing Chapter 4 when the first page went up (which is also why the art gets drastically better in chapter 4). But yeah I was whoring it out on day 1 because I'd already been sitting on it for a year and it was driving me crazy.

I think I waited a year on here, but I had an art request thread on Gaia before that. (Yes, I pay people fake money for pictures of my characters. It works pretty well.)

I just put a thread here but I reckon you have to wait a long time till you're sure your work's actually good before pimpin it

I figure I'll get round to pimpin' my comic around the time I get round to pimpin' up the site. Should be sometime around Tuesday. Next year.

Hmm... I'm not even sure if I know how to pimp. I mean, what are the pimping-standards anyways? To be more precise with my question: How do you pimp?

I guess most of us ask the same question, some of us just have talent in attracting attention to their comics, but majority doesn't.Derek Dragomir wrote:Hmm... Interesting, when I read the title I assumed you meant more getting advertisers and selling out...
As far as looking for feedback, I'm totally guilty. I launched my comic a few weeks ago and I wanted some feedback from the community. I'm only doing updates once a week, but there is a huge production time involved, and sorry but I have a life.
Personally I'll make a decision on a comic in three issues/pages or less. Do I like the art? Is the story engaging enough for me to return?
I prefer quality over quantity. 5 issues of a good comic are worth more than 30 of a mediocre comic...
