You can tell a work is mine because it's not done yet, and thus not posted. If there are promises of great things to come, which are never fulfilled, that is a sure trademark of my work.

Everything I touch ends up dark. I don't mean lamps or fingernails or the moon (all of which I've touched in some way), I mean, my personality is actually quite bubbly and upbeat and very likable but when it comes to creating something like that it just turns bleak and depressing... YET STILL FUN!

I dunno...I'd like to think I have an evolved enough style by now that it can't be summed up in a few words or cliches.

At least I'm pretty sure I have a style at this point. I write for a number of websites and when I include bits of art in an article I'll often get comments along the lines of "ohhh, you're the guy who does Zoology, I recognized your art"...which is always nice to hear.

I refuse to close lines. Ever. I will close them over my dead body :shifty:

Also the colouring has been called many things and "unique" was used once or twice. That was one of the nicer words, actually.

I "chibi" everyone.
My comic will *eventually* feature any and all heroes and villains that come to mind.
I don't plan on referencing outside material for every episode, but it almost seems that way at the moment.
My dialogue is choppy and sometimes too wordy. Not proud of this one. I need to learn to "cut out the fat." I'm really hoping to improve on the "exposition" field.

The biggest thing that sets my comic apart is the way my characters are drawn. Giant heads, tiny bodies, but most importantly, disconnected hands. If I were to draw arms, no one would be able to reach above their heads! Therefore, to increase everyone's flexibility, and remove clutter from the strip, I decided to omit their arms! I think it's a lot like those neat geometric parlor tricks, where your mind fills in the blanks. We all know where their arms SHOULD be! So why draw them?!

Constantly improving would be the best statement of mine.

Also my characters all seem to have broad shoulders, I use coloured ink-lines for certain parts and my colouring is sort of mottled/splotchy (although that's more due to not being very neat at it).

The 'for now' will end at midnight tonight (EDT).

Though the fact that mine isn't made with physical Legos makes mine a bit different.

Maybe I have the first LDraw comic?

Hmm, I'll have to make some of that for you myself . . . you and your comic have been a big inspiration for my comic, especially with the use of LEGO.

An isolated protagonist detached from society and/or reality. Every story I've written (or tried to write) has had this quality. I don't think it's intentional, it's just a subject that repeatedly amuses/interests/inspires me.

I apparently do very angular jaws.

Aside from this, I have a distinctive sense of color and shading in my work.

I'm still developing my style, but I really like "sketch" appearances and drawing concept art, so my lines are intentionally sketchy-looking and I'm probably just going to color things that have significance to the story and/or page's visual layout. I need to narrow on a coloring style, right now it's very simplistic (as in no shading xD) I have a hard time actually finishing things, so these methods are working out so far. I also have an eye for detail and accuracy, which can get annoying since it leads to perfectionism xD
I guess what I have now as an ID of sorts is the line style. I use a pseudo-manga approach for character design and frame content; mostly the manga influence is facial designs/expressions. I try to keep bodies proportional (eight heads high, that sort of thing)...bleh, i'm ranting

My comic still only has one page up with ten more waiting for weekly updates, gotta get more pages drawn up so I have a "safety net" of time @@ The first six pages don't display my current skill, they're moderately old

If anyone's interested, you can browse my deviantART gallery to see what I mean.
(be sure to comment/critique if you can, i like comments xD also helps to know what's good/what's bad about designs)

A (rough) example of my style: http://iceflame1019.deviantart.com/art/Ali-01-113166228
I don't normally shade, however this was done as a desktop image so I tried to finish it. Also left too many sketch lines but meh, I like it XD

IceFlame, that's pretty cool- I like the simplicity, although the sketchiness kinda seems a little unconfident at times (which is redundant since it's... well... sketch lines... I guess today is redundancy day) Does your site have any comics up yet? Because if so the navigation buttons aren't working :(

Weird really rapid stylistic changes... I'm talking about only over the space of a few months... I've got my buffer for my site that's got ~7 comics in it, so lately I've been inking things that no one's gonna see for quite a few weeks. I just checked my own site a little while ago and really looked at the two strips uploaded so far, HOLY HANDBAG the differences between what I inked and colored in January and what I'm working on now. Jeez, you'd think it would stay one way for at least one season...

Not that I like the old way better, I'm just confused as to how I got from point A to point B with such velocity.

For a real blast, I was looking at stuff I drew for my comic ranging from last April through August, and then the bounty I crapped out in december. Wow. Good thing I didn't get my site until February, or that would have been on the real live internet for all and any to see and be confused by.

Someday when my website is strong like bull I'll have to put up a Silly Page with what everyone was supposed to look like initially, because it makes my belly hurt for the laughter. Oh, wacky, wacky high school concepts.

There's only that prologue page up right now; when I get page 12 more finalized I'll add a few more. Right now the nav buttons are ghosted.

I can see how sketch lines are "unconfident"...I do a lot of sketch work though so it's more comfortable for me to use that sort of style.
