Comic Fencing! The newest of review sites!

Post by Uncaringmachine »

Hey all, stopping by to let you know that I'm taking part in a brand spanking new review site called...Comic Fencing! The jist is this: Each week one comic is reviewed by FIVE different reviewers! Cool huh? You will be able to get five different views of the same comic. And, you'll also be able to review the reviews! So head on over and read the first review, up now! Did I say reviews enough? Review! And yes, if you read my review site, I just copy and pasted most of that. But it's still good info! And yes, it's ANOTHER review site!

Meaning your signature at the bottom of your posts is just a pile of incoherent text and html, you'll want to use BBCode, such as [img]imageurl[/img] and website name and so on.

Looks like a good site. I hope they keep it up.

My comic was reviewed by "Too Many Webcomics" at http://webcomic-project.blogspot.com, but it looks like they stopped reviewing before they could finish with all the A's.

I like the idea of multiple reviews. It really helps since there's the inevitable "I hate furries' or "I hate super heroes" reviews that really could just waste everyone's time. Multiple points of view is how the pros do it after all. Most movie or game reviews give at least 2 points of view after all. I'll gladly sign up.

Sooo . . . by comic fencing, do you mean that you will be swordfighting comics?

Or that you will be reselling comics obtained through questionable means?

Sounds very cool! I wish you the best of luck!

Well, the name wasn't made up by me, I'm only one of the reviewers, but I'm trying to help where I can. No, there will not be actual fencing, but you can rate which review you think is better, which is sort of like a battling reviews kinda thing, and since fencing is two people fighting with swords, we come to the name comic fencing! Or something to that effect.

Well I liked the idea, but not the layout. It is just a long series of blog entries - I'd like to see a page that shows a bit more effort in the design (ie proper coding with a bespoke look to match the concept, not just hacking an existing tool). Also word limit the reviews. If I have five reviewers I want them to be short and to the point.
