Really? I mean, we're not Disney, and she's not Mickey Mouse.

*shrug* Guess that's why I'm not a CEO.

You only get the money if you do his idea.
Guess I stopped reading at "$50." Fuck this.

Yes, let's just say that's what I was going for. She is running on air. Yes.

ETA: I could add sketches of people running to the blank falling paper :V

This is a great interpretation, Space Coyote, and I think it works well enough into the theme for a cover image, we don't have to hit people with a symbolic frying pan.

I especially like the fact that the artists are blank figures, instead of specific people. That sells it hardcore for me.

I approve this cover.
"The fact that a believer is happier than a skeptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one" -George Bernard Shaw

"Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man -- living in the sky -- who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do.. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time! ..But He loves you." -George Carlin

I think we can probably call the cover "closed" now for Space Coyote. 8-) If no body objects, I'm going to go ahead and dress up the artwork with the FCBD and CG logo and get it all set for Diamond to start promoting the book.

And for everyone else who was going to submit a cover, start redirecting that creative energy to a five-page comic submission. We're going to need some of those very soon as well.

I'm getting set to send the cover artwork off to all the appropriate people and wanted some input before finalizing it (particularly from SpaceCoyote):

Image

The dimensions needed some tweaking (final artwork size was 6.875x10.5" with bleeds), and that meant cutting off GenChan's boot on the right side of the page a bit. I have the trim mark shown here to show where the cover edges will be when printed, and I added the logo for CG and FCBD.

If this looks good, I'll send it off. Thoughts, everybody?

I think the CG logo fades into the clouds a bit. It's all blue-on-white up there.

Yeah, you can barely see the CG logo from far away (or even up close!). I designed the cover with the belief that the logo would be black or dark blue. Also, can the cover be trimmed on both sides so that everything fits?

Just to show what I mean (pretend the slogan is in black as well):

<img src="http://i16.tinypic.com/86tdjd1.jpg">

The trimming isn't a big deal though. If anything, the logo needs to stand out way way more.
