Only just got my page, and I'm waiting for my wacom tablet to arrive. I'm giving up on my scanner for inking comics :-?

I only have one comic up anyway so it techincally doesn't count as infrequent

Because to make my comic I have to inadvertently read Dominic Deegan, and after a few strips of that I kinda want to gouge my eyes out. Of course, the preferred state is wanting to gouge Mookie's eyes out, so I take frequent breaks between making comics in order to re-align my hatred.
Dominic Deegan more like Dominic Durgan AM I RITE GUYZZZ

Fourth year, final semester of a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Also, mass amounts of laziness. And interest in other things. Comic-ing is just ONE of my hobbies.

This weekend is actually the first time I've had to skip a day, so I'm going to blame it on a stomach virus.

If I'm going to be realistic, though, I'm going to have to stop trying to do a new comic every single day. It just takes too much time.

Well it usually goes as thus..
There's two days of being a general lazy-ass while vaguely considering what I'm going to put in the next strip
One day of drawing
One day of inking
One day of loathing everything that results from my pencil touching paper
One day of rebuilding my ego and eating a lot
And then there's the last day where I hurriedly scan, clean, color, put in text, put together, and finally update the finished comic at the very last second.

Personally I don't know how other people manage more than one issue a week. Sure I could probably skip the ego rebuilding stage, but I like to pamper myself.

The reason why I still manage to update because I pamper (read as motivate) myself by looking at my own stuff. :D

I'm guessing you people already got tired of doing that... >.>

Coloring... sounds weird but thats my main problem, I have to be in a mood to want to color my comics and artwork. Ya I hate that aspect of work (I even asked a friend if she'd color them, she said she's too busy now but might be interested later), but on the other hand drawing is easy for me and I don't need to be in a mood. I have tons of pages of my comic sitting around uncolored.

Strangly enough... "dazed" seems to be one of the trigger moods. I can work on just anything when im in a daze.

I just have the capacity to be frighteningly lazy. This may or may not have anything to do with cheesecake.

::raises hand:: Count me in on that. I actually like 'dazed' moods - they help me to get things done. The reason being that dazed only occurs in the absense of other moods - stressed, laziness, the like.

Not yet. Mind you, I'm still a n00b at the moment so you never know.

That's not weird at all. Coloring is half the reason my comic is now on hiatus. It was just so friggin' time-consuming, and it looked unfinished without it. I just got fed up with sitting in front of Photoshop for eight hours a week just to color a couple pages.
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."

Hm. I see now that coloring takes a lot of time no matter how you do it. Now I don't think it would be a good idea for me to color mine. Maybe one a week, like maybe a Saturday one. But to keep up a seven day a week schedule, even for a three panel comic like mine, just isn't feasible. Oh, and I missed a couple days last week because I was just feeling down and burnt out to be honest. I have since filled in two of the three days with new comics and have a five day buffer going, so I'm once again on schedule. Phew.

Oh heck coloring could be short work, and there are some comics where imcomplicated coloring is best, "simplicity" is the word they use I think, but not all of them. Sometimes the drawing demands good coloring, sometimes not. Why do you think tv cartoons do so well? Simple is better there. Maybe it's more dependant on the person sometime though, I dunno, but coloring isn't necessarily hard unless you make it hard, and sometimes you feel you have to.
