I'll love to see the comic come back after I checked weekly for what seemed to be centuries - even though I have to admit that the current storyline seems a little off compared to the weird funny stuff before, but I'll just look forward to what is to come

Whoa.
Okay, first off, let me apologize for this lengthy absence. I'm amazed that anyone's still around after all this time, but I assure you that I haven't forgotten Sandwich World.
The thing is, you see, right now I'm in India. Scanners are difficult to find here. There are at least three new pages waiting to be scanned and more on the way, for real! Stuff happens in the comic that never happened before (ever!)!
Also, next month, I am going to be in China. I think scanners might be easier to find there, we'll see.
My current globetrotting is due to my new position and has nothing to do with running from the law. Not this time, anyway.
