Talk About Sandwich World!

Post by MisterIrony »

Do it!

Okay, yes, I know. More updates.

They're on the way, I promise. You can even ask my roommate!

In the meantime, make me feel important! Who do you think will die next in the strip? Because someone will.*

* Not the Safe that says "Yes".

The question is: Does the safe do the killing?

Come now, you fools! The Writer has asked for our adoration, and you have withheld it! I hope I have not come too late. Please Mr Irony, please give us the updates!
Meanwhile, I'm going to bet against the birdgirl. While the health inspector is more "deserving", I think the death of the poor birdgirl would better fit the mode of the strip. At the same time, a half-demon health inspector could be fun.
I've got to admit that I only recently found the comic, that I read through the archives faster than is necessarily healthy, and that I probably need to let it stew in my brain more before I chatter too much more, but let's blame the rambling on the disorienting shock and horror of finding the tale hanging in limbo after the joy of devouring the first part.

It strikes me... What if Phil were killed off just to thwart the no-main-character ever dies idea and then the Safe turns out to be the lord of whatever hell Phil falls into. Phil then asks to return and the Safe says...

Geez! I turn my back for two seconds (read: about a month) and someone posts!

Maybe we should run bets as to who is more likely to die. Also, it's interesting that the people still at the regular store aren't being considered...

I'm thinking that might mean new-thread-with-poll time, but I'm almost afraid to start it. Either I'd get it right and then no one would show up, or I'll be pecked to death by rabid detail-mongers for missing someone, even if it's something obscure like Dino-Child in Scene 87Q. Care to bless us with a betting poll thread, Mister Irony, using your authorial authority?

Meanwhile, I'll see about setting up a nice drop box for monetary bets. It's all about choosing which small island...

A poll, you say? That I could, but I don't want to give anything away! (The characters that won't fit on the poll would automatically be excluded -- unless I purposely misleaded everyone by omitting them -- which I now can't do since I just mentioned it).

Anyway, I don't think there'd be enough people to get more than, like, three respondes.

Alright, Mister Irony, just bring on the update. If you start back and ping a few other friendly comics to make note when you do... well...
<ominous> If you update it, they will come </ominous>

I'm a page and a half away from updating a month-long storyline.

I just... I'm <i>really</i> busy.

No worries, man. My prod was really just my looking at the empty room and admitting the obvious out-loud: it all hinges on an update and the dissemination thereof. For my own part, I understand busy. I've got an unfinished desk of which only five pieces have been sanded, a bedroom that has been taped off but is still waiting for me to open the two buckets of paint, and a "jillion" other things incidental to moving and unpacking and settling in.

I hope that you are well, and that that which keeps you busy is something you enjoy.

Well anyway, starting the first Monday of July will be a 17-page storyline.

More Sandwich World would be a lovely way to celebrate the traditional American holiday known as All Fingers Eve, a quiet pause before July 4 and the ritualistic return of small explosives.

Really, though... We will be grateful for the Updates whenever you grace us with them.

Frightening memories of working at a coffeeshop...
on the day after an ice storm...
The shop had power,
but the major research university campus literally across the street did not.

Thanks for bringing back the comic, Mister Irony.

Alright... So entertaining the robot's curiosity means contributing to the next little vignette of his observation? Well, I guess I could use this as an opportunity to lay odds on the source of the promised death, but whenever something seems to start lining up, I tend to get more concerned about guessing instead of less.

Argh!

Just when I get things up and rolling again, it all comes to a screeching halt.

As it happens right now, my schedule is too full to draw Sandwich World on a regular basis. Over the week-end I had time to draw half a strip and that was about it. The only alternate solution I can find is for me to get someone else to draw Sandwich World, but until such a thing happens, looks like I'll have to put it on hold... again.

However, I would like to thank all y'all for still sticking around as long as you did. It does mean a lot to me!

If you know any idle artists, send 'em my way.[/i]

Drat, just when I find this place coming back to life too.

Good to see you still intermittently alive though. Maybe we'll see you again sometime?

I sure hope so! I'm probably going to be able to squeeze out a few strips every now and then (holy CRAP what a horrible mental image), so yes, I will also remain intermittently alive.

Until I can find someone to draw for me or my schedule changes radically (which it very well might, anything is possible), things will remain iffy.
