O.K.
So you have some faction of the Christian Church deciding at some point in their long and varied history that the bad guy/ trickster figure of their mythos needs to be illustrated and so they use various images, including a corrupted version of Pan (greek god).
Satan/ the devil corrolates with coyote/rabbit/raven in some american indian mythoses, loki in norse traditions, etc.
Satanism is sort of a modern invention.
Dang it! I know I had a point in here, but I'll darned if I know what it was. And I have to get gone.
Take care

*sniff, sniff*Am I the only one who wants to see Mi Kor in dominatrix gear playing with a bound, naked Meekerz?
What's that I smell? Could it be... Ghastly fanart? Goodie!
(or, alternately...)
My horny-sense is tingling! That can only mean one thing: Ghastly's drawing Meekerz fanart again!

There's supposed to be a point to posts? Just seems to take the fun out of them.

I don't think she meant he was literally in norse myths... but the thought of Satan being -like- Loki, was waht she was trying to say. Which is true. They were similiar in many ways.On 2002-03-23 13:27, cyb wrote:
Loke was not the devil!
He just had his own little ideas.
Hell or devils are not mentioned in Norse belife.
The giants where the main bad guys.
And actually giants are in the bible too, from what I understand. In fact, they were actually the offspring of the Angels getting busy with the human women....
I know too much about sexual history...
Btw, love the bondage, and I would def love to see a pic of Mi Kor in dominatrix gear playing with a bound, naked Meekerz..hehe

Several things. There was a Norse version of hell. Interestingly enough, it was freezing cold. I forget what they called it. Second, Loki and Satan didn't have much in common, other than arrogance, I think. All the old Gods were arrogant, so that's gotta be it. But Loki wasn't the Evil bad guy he is in Marvel Comics. Just a mean-spirited practical joker (read: bitch-face). Third: I will never understand the reasoning or emotions behing bondage. Don't get it. No interest. Moving on: I think it's rather appropriate that the Karate Club has Evil Twins with large, sharp swords. If all of this turns out to be a dream, I'll be very sad.
