I grew up on hungerian puppetshows and bulgarian cartoons. American show's were considered harmfull to children back then.
------------------

What do you mean the Eagle riders WERE shown in Europe...They still are...on fox kids!Battle of the Planets is also shown, but that's on Bravo ^_^ I've seen a few eps of battle of the planets but after watching the eagle riders version it was pretty difficult to get used to.
Random fact: Even though i was probably 5 or 6 when it was shown in england, i can still remember the transformers theme tune!
Though...did anyone see the Samurai Pizza Cats? I loved that show
Samurai pizza cats...duh duh duh duh..samurai pizza cats [dances away mumbling theme tune]
------------------

I'm not sure that the story of Kimba the White Lion ever ran in America. It might have. Apperantly my father vaguely recalls G-Force in the 80s (althoughe would have been in his mid to late 20s by then... what was he doing watching cartoons! I mean, by the time you hit College you should have out... grown.... that... kind.... ::remembers all-night Anime fests:: ^o^;; Nyeh-heh-heh.... Never mind.
Meanwhile, I luuuuuuuurve Samurai Pizza Cats! They's silly! Unfortunately, I've only seen, like, 3 episodes, and that was way back when I was in High School.
::shudders:: Who said the D word!?!?! Dubbing! ACK!!!!!

I've only seen a few eps of samurai pizza cats too but i love it! (Except for the narrator, he was annoying. Same narrator on where's wally) My fav bit is when they get shot out of the giant gun above their pizzeria... i've always wanted to be shot out of a gun! I think i'l go do that now... [Puts on helmet, climbs into giant gun barrel] WEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
------------------

I have every episode of Samurai Pizza Kats shown on Canadian TV on tape. Very whacky, funny series indeed. Lots of parodies of other anime series in it.
Yes, BotP/G-Force/Gatchaman had a massive cool spaceship launching from a secret underwater base beneith a cresent shaped island.
The original, Gatchaman, came out in 1972 in Japan. Battle of the Planets came out in 1977 I believe, and G-Force came out I think, in 1984 or 1986. I can't remember off hand.

------------------
