Outstanding Superhero/Action Comic

I've been looking and the categories for nomination, and Outstanding Superhero/Action Comic just seemed a little bit off to me. Clearly superhero comics are far less common in Webcomics than their paper-based cousins, but it seems that the superhero category can stand on its own without being coupled with action and vise versa.

Generally speaking, hero comics are going to be action based, and Western print action comics will involve super powers, but if Webcomics have taught us anything, it's that such genre assumptions break down online. Be it from parody of the genre (Amazing Superzeros,) or new takes on other classic genres (Zombie Hunter,) We have comedy/action superhero comics, slice of life superhero comics, and science fiction superhero comics to name a few. Of course no category will be perfect, but I think this particular combination leaves many superhero comics that are not action based... as well as many action based comics without the slightest hint of super powers out of any particular group.

Anyway, that's just how I see it: two categories that are generally found in the same comic (particularly in Western comic books,) but are not necessarily reliant on each other, much how most slice-of-life comics are humor based, but don't have to be by default.

What do you think?

When we combined the categories of Superhero and Action, there really weren't enough Superhero comics to make it useful. But the great thing about webcomics is that they come and go, change and evolve almost constantly. That's exactly why we want you, the voters, to "nominate" future genre categories. While we can never present every genre out there, we should be able to get a better grasp on the current trends of what's really great out there.
