Award idea

There should be an award for "Best Flash movie" (There's one for best use of flash, but not for specific movies.) I've got a potential nominee in the works

Jaster's going to prove to be some pretty stiff competition!

I almost forgot about Jaster! *Puts on battle paint and loads assoault rifle* Time to bring Jaster down.

Anyway, he's a professionalish college student, I'm still in HS and have no advanced flash training. I should get a sizeable handicap.

EDIT: I have the perfect solution. Split the award into two categories, one for comedy and one for drama, like the golden globes.

A flash movie eh? I've screwed around with it, and hope to be making full lenght episodes by the end of the year. But if it just you two, then your garunteed second place.

There's nothing wrong with gifs.

Flash is overrated in my opinion. It can be too easily abused to create horrible things like this.

This has continually been a big debate within our planning committe. Does animation qualify as a comic? I certainly think that soon we will have to make that part of the category list. This industry is way too adaptive and growing to think that we won't have to evolve as we go along.

That's fair, Zort, but there is already an entire Flash community out there not unlike the webcomic community.
You can try branching them together, but unless you're l33t in both the transition is rough.

My opinion is, if there's an animated movement (no camera movement, but character movement), than it can't be considered a comic, no matter if there are comic elements like speech baloons.
So most of flash movies couldn't be considered comics.
But I think it would be justified introducing such award in case there's no relevant award for flash cartoons already. However, I think there is.
