What's wrong with acknowledging that?
I may be accused of hometown pride, and it would be an accurate observation. Most of the initial work came from Keenspace cartoonists, and I'm proud to be a part of a group with such people.
And, let's keep in mind that this ain't the Oscars. It's still just a bunch of cartoonists, with little effect outside the world of cartooning. Try to be all things to all people, and you're setting yourself up for a headache. And don't try to grow too fast, or there will be aol sorts of problems.
------------------

Well that bit about tomorrow or two months from now was just my way of saying "some unspecified time in the future." But keep in mind that some people might be put off by having to sign up for a forum ID on Keenspace just to discuss something that's supposed to encompass webcomics as whole.
Of course does it really matter if some people are put off by having to sign-up? I don't think that's an issue just yet. I just think that this project/program/hobby/ect. should move toward a more and more professional operation. Which would happen from ideas born from discussions like this. Which is my goal here, to get people going over ideas, refining them and that sort of thing.
