Why WHIO's response to the terrorist attacks is different fr

Basically, I made one decision for ROCR and Geir made another for WHIO.
Also, White House in Orbit often pokes satyrical fun at American attitudes, and in the circumstances, that didn't look as funny as it did a few days ago.
WHIO will be back, in spiffy patriotic form, later!
------------------

Reinder said it all, I believe. I should have posted (had promised to post) a similiar explanation, but due to circumstances outside my control I haven't been near an Internet connection since I changed the index page last night.

I'll just add this: WHIO is a work of love, poking good-humoured fun at the American pulp fiction and movies we cherish. And at the attitudes displayed in many of those. But there is a time for satire, and this is definitely not it.
Both Reinder and I live in small countries that are just pinpricks on the map compared to the USA. But if not from personal experience, then from history we do know the nature of the terror that struck New York and Washington yesterday. We can only offer our deepest sympathy for it's victims.

I sympathize in every way, but I do miss the daily portion of humor in these evil times...
