Posting this here because it's one of the only "hard" sci-fi comics out here, and therefor is most likely to have readers (and an author) who get where I'm coming from with this...Did anyone here see Bicentennial Man? Based on the works of Isaac Asimov, right? So was anyone else as disappointed as I was when, at the end, Galatea blatantly breaks the Second Rule of Robotics? Leave it to Hollywood to f*ck up an otherwise okay movie adaptation in the last thirty seconds of the film. Sheesh.Just had to get that off my chest.-Shannon

I goofed, it was late. She broke the FIRST law of robotics. Even WORSE!<center>GRAND MASTER ASIMOV'S THREE LAWS OF ROBOTICS...</center>LAW 1: A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. LAW 2: A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. LAW 3: A robot must protect its own existence, except where such protection would conflict with the First or Second Law.She broke the biggie.And Tir, it wasn't really all that bad a movie...until that part. Bah, I was warned against seeing it so I never had to suffer through. Of course, now that you mention it I have to remember the rules....1st was harm humans, 2nd was harm robots? Zero-th law was harm humanity.... Man, now I have to go reread the series.

Ah, it's the economics of movies for me. My wife and I only get an opportunity to go see a movie once in a great while (thanks to having 2 kids). So we have to be sure there's a good chance we'll both like it or it's a no-go. Usually we wait for it to come out and then we watch it at home, which is still hard to schedule.Anyway, unless I REALLY want to see a movie, I don't.

Ummm...
Don't forget the "Zeroth Law of Robotics: A robot may not injure humanity, or through inaction, allow humanity to come to harm."
Maybe that's how this Galatea's doing it!
Of course, I haven't seen the movie... don't want to ruin a perfectly good memorized copy of a story by changing all the characters to real people.
