I try to keep at least a month of strips (5 weeks is my going rate) so by the time these things get announced, it's already too late for me. Those that do get announced in time tend to be overly-involving and I just can't figure out how to DO them and still keep a running storyline.

Don't worry about it. While I never gripe about late or missed strips, and rarely comment on the extended hiatuses (hiati?) that plague certain strips, I've always prefered those strips that keep far enough ahead to be able to cover for the inevitable dry spells. This one included. It's part of why I have yet to attempt anything resembling a strip of my own. I mean, look how long it took me to reply to this!

I hate to say it, but I probably wouldn't be one of those two. I still haven't gotten around to ordering a BoxJam shirt, and I really liked that one!
On the other hand, it doesn't cost anything to set up a cafepress store, last I checked, and you never know. Come up with a design that's clever outside the context of the comic and you might get business you never suspected (My favorite and most commented-on T-shirt for the past year or so has been "Humans are weird but tasty.", not the Quatrix as I had expected).

Don't worry. Mine never are either.
One thing I've wondered about since WCAD (or since I saw the May 5th Family Circus) is whether WCAD was intentionally or coincidentally held on the same day as "Cartoonists Day". There seemed to be no mention of that at the WCA webpage. On the one hand, it seems like it HAD to have been planned that way, but on the other, from what I heard Cartoonists Day was something of a non-event with the pros this year.
Anyway, I just thought I'd let you know that I'm still on the edge of my seat, checking in daily as the story continues to deepen (albiet at a snail's pace it seems sometimes ). This is probably the best serial strip I know of in terms of story. Thanks for creating it, and don't you dare ever decide to stop in the middle! You've got me hooked and it would probably be a jailable offense to leave me hanging while there are still so many threads in the pattern.
Pooga
------------------
