So, every once in a while, I get the idea into my head that getting my labia pierced might not be a bad idea.

and right now is another one of those times, but I've got some wonderings: would the metal chunks make shaving harder? how bad does it hurt? Do they get in the way when you're just walking around? And most importantly...is it significantly hot?

Anyone with any insight to any of these is more than welcome to apply.

1:) while you're healing, yes; after they're healed, probably not
2:) Lots, I assume; my PA hurt quite a bit (the healing sucked though)
3:) Only when they're sore from healing/playing
4:) I think so, but some people are repulsed by the idea (I think they're just fucking retarded or something)

I'm afraid the only question I can really offer any insight into is the last, and my answer is sometimes yes, sometimes no, but more often the former than the latter.

i can't say too much because i have never had anything pierced in my entire life.

but if you want to post a picture of your labia we can talk about ways to optimize hotness.

personally i am not sure if i think they are hot or not, i can see it going either way. while i don't think i would ever be turned off by it, i am not sure it is something i would ever activly seek in a partner either.

Labia piercings turn me on, unless it's one of those complex chainmail dealies that pretty much covers the labia instead of accentign it. The simpler the better, I say.

I've not decided IF I want it done period, but if I do it would likely be the outer labia, rather than the inner.

And I'm not quite sure I should be posting pictures of my vagina on the itranet

Any pictures would be used solely in a professional manner to help advise you of the best course of action, I assure you.

Anyway, while I do find those kind of piercings sexy, I don't think they're so much of an improvement as to be worth the pain and cost of getting them. That said, if you go for guys (or girls) that have lots of piercings, they'd probably find you being pierced very sexy.

I think the worst thing at the end of my life would be to regret not trying something.

As long as you get it done professionally you can always let it heal and be little worse the wear.

Check http://www.safepiercing.org/ (association of professional piercers), failing that, try the yellow pages (but be wary). A number of quality tattoo shops have piercers as well, when you get there ask them about their autoclave, ask to see it, they should have a certificate of completion of a blood-borne pathogens class (it'll probably be posted), ask them about the piercing, they should be helpful and informative.

keep in mind that any piercing is an elective surgical procedure, if you have any doubts as to the professionalism of the staff, its all optional.

Well, You could follow Wilmo's advice. Another avenue is to look up porn stars websites and send them a letter asking where they got their pieceing at. You could also try the BDSM.soc newsgroup. If you are near a big city there is probably a kinky club or group you can ask also.

I live in a rather smallish town and even we have a pretty well known girl who does all our kinky piercings and such. We have loads of tattoo places that all do normal piercings, but if you have 'special' needs, than they all call this woman.

and yeah, we so need to get some pictures if we are going to give you an honest opinion.
