I found this webcomic the other day. It centers on a male to female transgender teenager. As you might expect from reading that sentance, yes, it does involve quite a bit of drama, but it's still one of the best webcomics I've read. I hope you'll at least read the first couple dozen strips.

First comic.

This comic... kinda hits home for me. For a long, LONG time I was gender confused- I can remember wanting to be a girl when I was as young as seven or eight. It was only about a year ago that I came to terms with being male both physically and mentally (I'm 22 now).

Yeah, it's a decent comic; I bought a couple of of the print copies, too... They're buried somewhere in my boxes. It was part of my regular rotation, back when I had a regular rotation, but it dropped off when Erin took an extended break from the story; a bit of a shame, that.

I knew about this one already. It was an eye-opener for me, since before Venus envy, the only exposure I'd had to the concept of transgenderism was on the level of the jerry springer show and tabloids. -_- It was a surprise for me to find such raw humanity in the concept, when before I had only been presented with sensationalism ...
Anyway, I liked the comic, but I also stopped checking it regularly when Ms. Lindsey went on hiatus.

Perhaps if tons of people suddenly wrote to Erin there would be enough of an ego boost and encouragement to get the story kick started again!

The sexual identity questions don't have any real connection to me. I've never had a question about my own. The cool thing about the comic is that it can appeal to people who do have those issues and those of us who don't as well. It is a sign of a well written comic.
