wow, I'm glad my dreams are mostly pleasurable, I would hate to experience that myself.

Meep ... maybe you did something to piss off Morpheus, though maybe not enough to make you have a permanent dream-within-dream thingy like that one guy in the first story arc in Sandman ...

I feel like I'm not geeky enough to understand this conversation...

Er, a guy and his son imprison the personification of Dreams for 70 years; the dad dies, and Dream (Morpheus) curses the unrepentant sun to constantly have nightmares, from which he will constantly "wake up", only in his dreams.

It reminds me more of One Thousand and One Nights than anything in The Matrix or Sandman, actually. I don't know whether that's a more apt comparison. I guess that's just where my mind is.
Edit: Whoops. We're talking about a different Morpheus. Silly me.

I had a migraine today. When I fell asleep, I dreamt that I had a big, messy, cosshairs painted on my face in red, centered on my right eye (where the migraine centers). Sort of like Agent Sands here, except it was tattoo ink or a cyborg implant instead of blood from having my eyes gouged out:

However, the eye gouged out bit sort of fit too, given how that side of my head felt...
I was some sort of cyborg assasin, sent out to kill. Who I was supposed to kill wasn't clear, nor who made the decision on that. It wasn't until I woke up that I realized how much the pose matched that still from Once Upon A Time In Mexico. Which is odd, considering I only watched that in passing because George had the DVD on (a couple months ago). And I did sit and watch the out-takes, because those were funny. Weird what my mind caches away...
Still taking old entries from my dream journal and turning them into "one-handed fiction." It disturbs me how easy this is.

I had my first zombie dream last night! It was kinda like 28 days later, where people mysteriously started turning into zombie-like creatures and trying to kill normal people. I was holed up in a garage with like three other people, and we were basically just trying to ride it out, we could go out during the day if we were careful, but at night we basically had to barricade ourselves in the garage. I also kept trying to seal all the cracks in the garage with a caulking gun to keep the zombies from seeing the light inside the garage. They were the kind of zombies whose hands kept moving after you cut them off, too, so there were several fight scenes with amputated limbs.
That'll teach me to have a drink after work...

Haven't read the whole thread, but I just wanted to say, this is the point where I'm afraid I would go seek a lobotomy...
Dr: "Why do you want this... horrific and irreversible procedure, ma'am?"
Me: "I dreamed of Keviin Federline."
Dr: "I see. We have an opening later this afternoon, actually."
Although, to be fair, it'd be difficult for me to dream of Kevin Federline, since I have no really accurate idea what the jackass looks like...

Hey, to the guys defense, he refused to let Britney to see the kids on her "shave-my-head-and-go-crazy-no-CRAZY" night.

One of the dreams I wrote down that didn't take loads of description, and that I'm not going to use as the plot for another smutfic:
A dream of all the fools going out to Burning Man getting caught up in a literal culture war. They were mounting guns and flame throwers onto their art cars. And a group of hackers all saddled up on the motorized couch with their wireless router and laptops, all set to be the electronic warfare division.
(the previous night was mostly nightmares, and then one dream that's destined to become smutfic. I even dreamed a title for it as part of the dream: Les Plaisirs D'Amour)

I had a dream last night that I went to a KFC in a seedy strip mall and asked for a poutine, and they said "No, we're out of tentacles." and I asked them to just make me one without tentacles and they said they couldn't.

"All great poutine contains tentacles or gratuitous yaoi. And we're all out of tentacles."

I wonder if the Canadian bar in Paris serves Poutine?

one of the entries from last night:
=====
"Just more proof that you can't steal hours from the next day to make up time lost." I was climbing up onto the roof of a small hut as I said this to Gibbs. I held a torch in my hand, and turned around in a circle as I said it. The light was dim, but it was day. "I hate constantly trying to catch-up."
=====
and one from a couple nights ago:
=====
Ashes of the unmourned dead. Priests who can invoke them, when enough (13?) tokens of said dead are brought together. Writing that moves, sigils that come up off the paper after they're written. The sentences or spells can be sucked up again into the stylus or wand after they're written, which is one way of loading spells into an object. I think the sigils may have been written in ink made from the ashes of those unmourned dead.

I had a dream that some website or other had a GIF that loaded all pixelated at first, and when it was almost but not quite loaded, it had a Secret Message. And Penny Arcade responded in kind.
The dream then moved onto "the first Zelda game", which looked kinda like Devil May Cry with Link as the main character. And Epona was in it.

I had a dream worthy of thread necromancy last night... it was an epic battle, and all parties involved had powers. I had the strongest powers of all, although I don't remember my character name... something like the green clover, although Clover was in English and Green was in French, and the name had nothing to do with the abilities... We were battling near this house and I could somehow make these glowing orbs form inside the house and throw them like weapons that would hurt anyone except myself. I could also fly, apparently. There was a downside, however, when someone came up to me and told me that in order to activate my powers, I had to get to the other side and "Yiff".
..Also, I had a piece of Brie that would explode several seconds after being thrown... There was one disgusting scene where I stuck a piece on some girl's shoulderblade...
