Hey gang, old Uncle Ghastly is back. Been a busy holiday season. Been traveling around to various relatives on both sides of the family here. Didn't get a real comic done for this week (almost though). I've got a filler strip done that should be up in a few minutes. I'll have the real New Year's strip up next week.

Got some great presents that year.

My brother gave me the Serenity DVD. Now I can finally stop avoiding people who have seen the movie. My wife and I got each other the boxed set of the TV series (we usually don't buy much for each other and spend our dough on the kids but we're both big Firefly fans).

Anyways, looks like I've got a whole shitload of emails to answer, and it looks like things were busy in the forums while I was away. Anything new and exciting happen while I was gone?

You missed Xom, Swordsman and Hentaicat discovering they were all women and getting into the hottest, sweatiest strapon fest ever, with Honor as referee. Then Honor was seen showing Xom how to use a strap on...

Well if were talking about THAT dream then Xom was not there, and Swordsman was replaced with Mar-... You know, I think its best we just drop this whole thing and pretend it never happened.

That is possibly the funniest damned thing I have seen in a good while. I recall seeing the original cards on FARK a few months back. They were made for US soldiers during the second world war with pictures of allied soldiers on them so they wouldn't accidently off somebody they saw wearing a weird uniform.

I think the originally said "He fights for Freedom" or "He fights for Liberty" or something like that at the bottom.

I found some WWII cards in my attic a few years back for civillians reminding them not to be wasteful.

I'm already getting a lot of e-mail over my take on sprite comics. So far most of it seems to be "Thank you for saying what we've all been thinking". Haven't gotten any pissed of sprite comic artists yet.

How do you do it? Whenever anyone else criticises sprite comics or does anything remotely like the chibi-dildo storyline they get flamed from the deepest depths of the internet, but when you do it you get emailed praise and stories about "My first dildo". Please tell us the secret behind your success!

I'd always suspected it had something to do with an isolated field, a copy of the Necronomicon, something ancient and evil with lots of tentacle, and a busload of virginal Japanese schoolgirls offered in "sacrifice", but yeah...the pipe explaination makes a lot more sense.

It might also help that he's actually funny. Many people on the net mistake spite and bile for clever humor. And you notice that he's not entirely fireproof. He's gotten flamed over BunnyBoy and Aryan Jesus & Wife. Though in the case of the furries flaming Ghastly, that provided even more entertainment...
