I finally got the Akon pictures up. My camera broke on Sunday, so there aren't nearly as many as I would have liked to get, but all is well, and the word of TENTACOO WAPE! was spread like a nice pair of thighs.

I was disappointed in Akon. There was very little in the way of tentacles for sale in the dealer's room that I didn't already own, or just flat out don't want (I am picky about my hentai!)

I have resigned myself to knowing that there will be very little, if anything I want in the dealers room at any con. My various minions know my tastes, and will come find me if there is anything they know I need to buy.

I love the one with the Umbrella... There were alot of non-anime ones in there too... the Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend... and one guy that looked like Silent Bob. My idea of going as Coop from Megas XLR dosent' seem so off now...

BTW, did the squid actually have it's own badge?!

I've been thinking about going as Coop myself, but I don't have any friends who could do a good Jamie or Kiva.

Yes, the squid has its own badge that says "Tentacle Monster"
It was gift art originally from Robert and Emi DeJesus, but it was so popular they sell them now.

No, for the following reasons.
1.) I don't cosplay
2.) Worked as a dealer's liason the entire damn con
3.) Am rather ugly.

I get pics of people who don't cosplay all the time. Last year at Akon, a good 25% of my pictures were of staff.

Now I'm curious if I saw you. Were you in or out of the dealers room during the shutdown?

my god.. I feel like I've missed out. And I'm serious here, I make an effort to get a picture of EVERYONE who is wearing a hentai, kinky, or tentacle related shirt or costume. Damn the bad luck!
