I've seen several people doing that at ACen.
Except it's usually cat-boys being led around...
(And at least one staffer, but that was last year. One year he had claws and woke up sleepers in the video room by scratching them. One person in the Vampire Princess Miyu room screamed. It's a shame I didn't get to see that
