Being that CNX starts tomorrow, I just wanted to wish Ghastly the best of luck, and I hope that he's able to sell a metric ton of artwork.

Yes, have fun! If it wasn't for the eleven hour drive, I'd come up and lead the cheers for you. (Okay, you probably
don't want to see me in a cheerleader outfit, either.

I'll second...ok, third that. Good luck, and try not to stress too much. The boi and I will be sure to drop by and say hello and buy some artwork - after all, your presence is the only thing that convinced me to go in the first place. See you on Saturday! (Side note: Barrie may be a hole in the ground, but living here makes getting to cons sooo much easier.

only 11 hours? a friend of mine and I calculated that for me to drive to Toronto it would take 38 hours, if I didn't sleep or eat or take bathroom breaks.

For a one-day trip, the most I've done is 5 hours each way (about 1,000 km total). The most I've done at once for any trip is 22 hours straight (~2,200 km), stopping briefly every four or five hours for fuel, bathroom, and maybe a snack.
Meeting the Trinity (Ghastly, Tang, and Hard) for drinks is almost worth the twenty-or-so hours on the road. Maybe if I could spend a few days and help convert the barn, too, hang out ...
oh, and maybe get a few drawing lessons
Darn, it's tempting...

the longest one day trip I've taken was a 16 hour drive to white horse.
and I think Hard is still in Japan... I could be wrong, but I don't beleive that I am.

And you think Hamilton is a long drive....

Hmmm, maybe thinking Hard would be there is just wishful thinking on my part. We'll definitely get him as a guest speaker for Ghastlycon 2005.

I thought we were calling it Tenticon?
Either way, we need to have it somewhere that's equally easy/hard for us all to get to. I'm suggesting an island in the Caribbean

Well gang, I'm gusy getting the last of my kit together for the convention. Printing up the last of these items tonight.
Ghastly's Ghastly Paper Dolls.
Pity I don't have a Lord Tentaclax one or a Jihad Jesus one.
Man... it doesn't seem like I have that many cast members until you see them all lined up like that. It's like my own little army.

Well, in that case you need to do a Ghastly Army wallpaper, just like the Gainax Army one.

It'd make my background.

Ghastly you look...smaller in person. Yes I expected a thundering giant. This is...the asian guy with yellow hair. Yesh...that will do.
What exactly were you selling there besides your 'it's a fake!' "painting"? I had the impression you were there just to advertise yourself. It was a nice surprise to see you though, as I HAD NO IDEA GHASTLY WAS GOING TO BE THERE.
The pipe is such a good touch. GO SEE GHASTLY!

Selling prints and the paperdoll sets. Drunk and Bitter Jesus prints sold out fast. Gonna have to print lots tonight. Kwerki prints sold out fast too. The prints were in the closed binder with the sign on top that read "You must be 18 years or older to look through Ghastly's Ghastly Hentai Collection".
I only did the one painting. Spent most of the night schmoozing. Gave out almost 500 business cards (holy crap! I thought I'd give out maybe 100 for the whole convention). Need to print more tonight.
Tomorrow I plan to do more paintings less schmoozing. Must focus on work. Of course I'll always take time to schmooze with readers. They come first.
Look smaller? Jeeze louise. I'm 6'2", that's plenty tall for most people. If you're talking about bulk though, I've lost a lot of weight recently. I have to change my build to a more svelt athletic build. Too much muscle (and fat) was too darn hard on my arthritic joints.
Was nice meeting you. Hope to see you again sometime.
