Funny you should ask, I used to have an icon of Slim riddin it down, but changed to the squid when a good friend of mine drew it for me.
If memory serves, it was "Dear John" that was dropped.

You know, I don't think I've ever seen FAIL-SAFE. I do so enjoy a good end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it comedy though
Case in point, Night of the Comet

oh you GOTTA see FAIL-SAFE, it's one of the BEST TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It) movies i've EVER had the good fortune to see, make sure you get the version with Henry Fonda, as thats the better of the two

I still want a Kz-7 and an FAM-90.
*sits back quietly to see if -anyone- catches the reference*

What the heck is a FAM-90? All I can find are references to a GURPS Railgun

Fusil Automatique Magnetique-2090 4.5mm Gauss Rifle from the old GDW game "Traveller 2300" (which was later renamed "2300AD", when too many people confused it as being part of the Traveller canon.)
It was an electromagnetically fired infanrty weapon firing 4.5x20mm slugs from a 60 rd box clip, 1600 meters per second muzzle velocity on single-fire and 550 mps on area fire, and a 30mm grenade launcher.
Lovely little item.
The Kz-7 was a sexy combat exoskeleton from the same game universe.
And, BTW if unrelated, I love GURPS, as far as RPG mechanical rules are concerned.

I prefer my OPSats (Orbitting Particle); which, BTW, I will be willing to lend to the cause. I feel they are an adequate stopgap until I have fully developed my psionic abilties.

Fuck...
Look, I had the feeling you were a gamer, but I was completely unprepared for ANYONE making 2300 references.
I guess you'll understand when I talk about cutting a swath thru French space with my somewhat trusty Storm Gun then eh

So what all can you get with that licence?

ANYTHING thats 50+ years old that isn't a full auto capable or select fire, thinking SERIOUSLY about getting a Dragunov SVD , but that won't be C&R elligible for another 9 years,
i can get rifles, pistols, revolvers, shotguns
the C&R FFL only costs $30, if you are interested squidflakes, a website that has a lot more info is
http://www.cruffler.com/becomingcruffler.html, also you MUST send a copy of the application to the chief law enforcement officer in your town or city, but he/she can't say yes or no on if you get it or not

Ohhh! I'm on it. If there is one thing that I love about living it Texas, it's the absolute REQUIREMENT that you own at least one firearm, and you are encouraged to hoard them
I'm with you on the Dragunov. What a wonderful weapon that thing is.
