Ride the Cock.

Wanted to do a painting of Kwerki today. Started thinking about what to have her do other than just stand there like a twig like she usually would, but I had to do a pose that would be Kwerki.

So I started thinking about what she would ride. I think she'd drive a scooter. Then I figured she'd probably name her scooter "Cock". Then I figured it would probably have a great big fucking gun on it.

Very cool! Here's hoping that her droopy, shapeless sweater doesn't get caught in the chain drive.

I love drawing machines that arn't real, by the way.

If I had to draw a real vespa and a real gattling gun I'd fuck it up, but when you just make up a model all on your own then there's no wrong way to draw it. Doing all the little fiddly machine bits are fun, it's almost zen when you're drawing them.

Takes a long time to draw though.

Anyone else getting a quasi FLCL vibe from this?

Maybe since it's the only other anime off the top of my limited experience I recall featuring a scooter as frequently.

Perspective's kinda wonky. You, know, I like the almost impossible seeming pose she's in there. It's like an Escher concept where it looks like it shouldn't make sense, but you realize it does a little late. Maybe she should be in poses that muck with the viewer's perceptions more often. The potato sack does add to it with its shapelessness

I don't know why, but for some reason I expect that machine gun to blow huge pink bubbles.....

I just can't imagine it doing anything so mundane as what we would expect it to!

Well it does appear to have a peace symbol on it... Maybe that's just for the sake of irony.

Shades of Haruhara Haruko

it is a modern variation of the weapon invented by Dr. Richard Jordan Gatling

thats either the GE M-134 Minigun in 7.62mm caliber capable of firing 6,000 rounds a minute with every 5th round a tracer, or the XM-234 in 5.56mm caliber capable of firing 12,000 rounds a minute

oh give me a home, where the firepower roams, and the deer and the antelope GET SHOT TO HAMBURGER

Of course, if that thing were to fire it would flip right over...

if they did, all my characters would have bad back problems.

If they did, one of my characters wouldn't have been gunned down by an ice cube.

That's the whole point of comics/cartoons.
If ghastly had wanted to he could have fitted that scooter with an 18th century cannon and it would have work even while the scooter was moving.
