391288 with the IQ of 114. Closest was Venice, off by only 5 kilometers (off course, a few turns later, I was 70 kilometers off from "Canals of Venice"...) Other close shaves; someplace mexico, 12 kilometers, Tallin, Estonia 21 km, Manchester and Helsinki also went off by a few dozen.

Also, the test is rather obviously meant for americans, seeing I could allmost hear the software roll its eyes at my guess at the location of Mt. Rushmore, Battle of Bunker Hill and Old Faithfull, yet I can pinpoint obscure cities like helsinki and Tallin to a needlepoint...

You can trust me when I say that those are still fairly obscure geographical locations, even to Americans. Most people aren't really thinking about the "where" of these landmarks, and I'd wager that, if quizzed, most would get them wrong. If you're good with your geography, and remember your history, you'll remember the general areas where these things are, but without all those cute state border lines, the U.S. suddenly becomes a rather large land mass to start pin-pointing spots. For example, I lived in Yellowstone National Park for the last three years, yet my flag still fell about 100 km away from where they wanted it to be. To be fair, though, the same spot was probably used for YNP and Old Faithful, since YNP is as large as some small countries. I lived in Mammoth Hot Springs, and that's 100 km from Old Faithful.)

Just made it to level 10, with 337,640. Got an IQ of 108. I've learned that I need to become better at the Southern Hemisphere. I'm real rusty at Africa and South America, to the point that I have no idea how I made it to level 10 with some of those clicks.

I guess I wasn't as bad as I thought on my first attempt at the world map (hard to see a damn thing, and that countdown meter making me nervous doesn't help causing me to rush my answers)

I was better able to guess the countries than specifically where in the countries things are, except when it came to Africa and Oceania (I only missed one location by 15,000+ km)
It's not so bad when the countries are small and you have to guess within a few hundred km of the border, but when it comes to the US and Canada, if you don't have a clue, you can be a few thousand km off and still in the right country. Can't do that in Switzerland.
