This morning I was thinking to myself just how much I've been missing the particular brand of humour that was (and is ) Ghastly's Glorious Ghastly Comic.
I only regularly read one other web-comic, and that one is by no means humourous.
So, I've been listlessly searching around for a Ghastly "substitute" (if you could call it that,) you know, something with that certain zingy je nais se pas and was just wondering if any of you might have any suggestions?
Signed, yours truly,

I shall keep myself in oysters for the rest of the week, thank you very much.
I'm going to make two assumptions: one, that you aren't overly sensitive about mocking people, and two, that you're looking for comics that are funny, not for the experience of lusciously rendered artwork. http://www.somethingpositive.net http://www.filthylies.net http://www.idrewthis.org + http://www.ozyandmillie.org (both drawn by the same cartoonist; IDT is an editorial strip)

I have derived amusement from El Goonish Shive which rapidly turns into a comic about gender-bendering. In fact, as of the latest story arc, everybody in the main cast has switched sex at least once (except maybe Tedd's dad, assuming he counts, and the Distracting Demonic Duck, and, well, *SPOILER*, who was already pre-gender-bent). ^_^
Uh, nothing really naughty, though. Hmm ... wonder if there's any halfway-decent naughty gender-bender comics out there ... I'd possibly make one, but I can't draw. T.T
DO note that the style is bit more family-orientated than GGC, but you can be funny without tentacle-rape. Right? RIGHT!?
The gospel preacher, the hostile teacher/The face of God with an impostor's features
This is the prophecy - the cult leader/The people's temple, the holy ground, the war compound
Four-pound to rifles, disciples, the holy idles/Supreme truth, the cult leader with the green tooth
The multi-millionaire with a stare that can freeze troops/I program people to kill
The motiviational speaker, my words cause people to feel/It's mind control, let the cult leader guide your soul
Open up your eyes to the lies he told/The general, the chief, I be the political pioneer
The cult leader, you can believe in me, I am here/Bless the children, take you under my wing, shelter
Helter Skelter, this is it, you can't kill me I'll exist forever. Cult Leader!
Yay! I love Order of the Stick too! I think there was one strip that involved the mention of tentacle rape, but I'm much too lazy to go looking for it.
Oh and Questionable Content is also really good. And if you're into the Dune series there are a handful of little Dune related jokes dispersed throughout the archives that made me giggle a lot.
And damn it, now I have to look at, and add to my favourites, all of these comics. I'm a web comic addict, what can I say? As well as being sick so I therefore have too much time on my hands for now.

Spiked tentacles of Forced penentration. V casts it on the chimera in the first dungeon, if memory serves.
Also, "Hide her in some place where no-one will notice atied and gagged teenaged girl"
"Ok, I'll find the nearest Hentai bookstore and work from there"

http://www.savvieandlacey.com makes a decent new year's ritual. it doesn't update enough to be worth checking more often than that though, as he frequently spends multiple months agonizingly slowly beating the same dead horse of a pathetic wordplay. still, the good bits are good.
The first web comic I ever read was Space Moose (actually a University newspaper strip made available on the web). Sadly, it finished a number of years ago, in '99, but the archives can be found here .
