Just thought I'd say I love this strip.... and the art of the week, (especially Professor Snape). And it's always nice to see the Devil portrayed in a sympathetic fashion..... and give a boyfriend! <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif">

Thank you indeed! <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif">
As I've said before, he's the victim of a systematic propaganda campaign instituted by God. It's not even a very smart one. It's just "Satan is bad because I say so. And I'm God, so everything I say is true."<P>Bah humbug!<P>So he deserves the sympathy. And the boyfriend.<P>------------------

It's an odd coincidence, but I just thought I'd mention that I've been working on a piece (of writing) about the Greek Pantheon, in particular about Hermes. Eventually the pieces will be compiled into a readable story of some sort -- it's become more like a novella at this point -- but for now it's made up of scattered scenes and a couple of varying outlines. heh

Anyway, just thought I'd mention it. I stumbled onto this strip at a point when I was about to tear out my hair with writers' block.

btw, the Jean Auel slash story is freaking hilarious. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. hehe
Ciao!

Heh! Yeah, Jockular really deserved that, I thought.
Him and his accursed Manhood.

Several other authors have used the Greek gods in their stories, too - have you read "Ye Gods!" by Tom Holt and (not quite as good) "Laptop of the Gods" by Peter Chippindale?

Thinking......
Sympathetic portrayal of Satan - Paradise Lost
Sympathetic portrayal of Satan with boyfriend - South Park
Methinks you're in good, if varied, company *g*

Haven't read Paradise Lost. I'm thinking I should.
I know about South Park, though I didn't know their Satan was gay til I invented mine.
Have I said this already?

It's true, anyway.
