This is a bit sooner that I'd wanted to put this up, but I'm going to be needing some illustrators for my book sometime this winter or spring. Not too many pictures, as the more pictures there are, the more expensive the book is to publish. The place where I want to get my book done by is very small, and so all profits go to keeping the books published. I'll make no money, so I'm afraid that you wouldn't either. I've already got a couple of takers to do some pictures (thanx Geej), so it's not like you'd be doing the whole book. It looks like it's going to be about 20 chapters, and the best the place I'm getting my book published by can do is three pictures per chapter, tops. More likely only two. Still, it's better than nothing. So if any of you out there want to help illustrate it, I'd be greatly appreciative, all of you webcomic artists out there. If you want to, I'll give you more details after the book is compleatly finished (I'm about half way through writing in now). Don't worry, I'd give you three months or so to do the pictures, so you aren't too strained. Thanks!
What's that? You'd like to be able to sample the book? Well, I think I can mangage that - Mira of Oz Yes, I will forewarn you, it's an Oz book. But that means for lots of very interesting pictures to draw.
~Chris
P.S. - One more thing, the pictures would have to be line art, nothing fancy. It's hard to reproduce highly shaded art at low cost. Color is out, for the moment as well, at least until I figure out who's going to do the front and back covers. It'd have to be inked, most likely. Like I said, I'll giver you more details after Christmas, or so. As a perk, all artists get to read it before it gets published. Everyone else just gets to read the first three chapters. Sheesh, I'm long winded.
[This message has been edited by Gillikin (edited 09-30-2001).]
