latest comic.. (ep 34)
well, i think the most recent comic is quite good considering geejay has just come back from vacation. im a little disappointed about one thing though. the guys hunting helix seemed rather cool and confident in the previous comic, but this one the guy looks like he's a bit of a hot headed goon. anyone else think so?

Well, Geejay's brother was the one who inked and lettered the previous comic. That probley has something to do with it. Who can comprehend the mind of Geejay-sama? I know that I can't.

Em: HelixHelixHelixHelixHelixHelix...
Feodor: Okay, last night it was "Bialar this, Bialar that, I named my teddy bear after Bialar." Now today it's "Helix this, Helix that, I'm drawing Helix," et cetera, et cetera, /et cetera/. Geez, fangirls...
Em: *drools on keyboard* Heeeeellllliiiiiixxxxx....
Hirschel: Yuck! People type on that! *gags*
Em: Hrm, anyway, I think the question of ambush in the dark is a matter of honor. And entertainment. After all, what's the fun in simply stabbing a man in the back? *pats Shizuka, her resident assassin* You gotta draw it out, savor the fear in your opponents face, watch him squirm...
Shizuka: Um, I'm not that kind of assassin...
Em: *continues, ignoring Shizuka* Make sure your target knows his doom is impending! Prove your skill!
Feodor: You spend a lot of time thinking about this, don't you?
Orriole: Maaaa, filia mea... I need aspirin...

Thanks for the complimentary part. As for the coolness and confidence of the goons, that is arrogance showing.

Well, Ringjo did draw the whole comic last time and put in the dialog but it was under my direction. So the bounty hunters are acting the way I intended them to. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.g ... CANNONSHOP said:

I dunno, the thing is, lots of people lose all common sense when they're right on the edge of getting something they think they want. The Bounty-hunters might've been cool customers-right up to the point they thought they had him. It happens.

Or I can use this excuse instead.
PHILTHY said:

yeah, but it seems a bit of a drastic change. although one might ask, why not just ambush him in the dark and knock him out, rather than going to the elaborate planning of hanging on the roof, then just jumping down

As I've said. The leader of this group is an arrogant guy. He wants to let Helix know that it is he who caught him. None of that surprise attack. Also, he wants to subdue Helix fair and square. Partly to prove his martial prowess but mostly for his satisfaction.
EM said:
