Hi guys.
Even though I don't really know Nihonggo much, I like listening to Jpop and Anime OST tunes because the beats and tunes are very good.
Can you recommend some nice Jpop/AnimeOST Albums/Songs? There is a comicbook shop here in Canberra that told me that I can order those types of CDs from them. But I do need to know the title of the album and artist.
Any suggestions?
------------------

Well it really depends on your musical tastes. I like the sort of electronic Jpop sound, like TM Revolution or Two-Mix. I also like Maaya Sakamoto.

Thanks for the names. I'll go check 'em out.

quote:

As far as anime OSTs go... Well, again, depends on what you want. They usually throw about one or two vocal tracks in on a cd of mostly BGM on your average anime OST... So if you want just songs, you have to get one of those "best song collections", etc.. I have mixed feelings about these types of cds. Alot of times they're full of songs sung by the anime characters themselves, and sometimes the voice actors have no musical talent whatsoever. ^^; Better off usually to get the ones with the BGM.

I have best song collections for Sailor Moon and Ranma and Magic Knights Rayearth. You are right though. Some of those voice actors can't sing. Er, what's BGM?

Try this: vivamusic.com (Singapore based if I'm not mistaken)
Slow internet connection? Get an internet booster. You could actually listen from IE5 for streaming radio if you don't have any MP3 program. Go to view--toolbars--radio. Click radio stations--radio stations guide. and then input JPOP for the "search". Once found. Highlight one of the lists and click listen. There U have it.
Heh heh. Just kidding for the welcome back.
[This message has been edited by Eunice_P (edited 07-23-2001).]

Hey, I'm back from being a camp councilor! Anime OP music? Sometimes that's good, but I have to agree with Alice. The best of collections usually have very good music on them. Let me suggest a few: 1. The Best of Slayers 2. (J-Pop)Gamble Rumble by Move (I love the song Strike On) 3. Anything by Megumi Hayashibara 4. Anything by Okui Masami especially Sorani Kakeru Hashi which is from TOE Animation OP according to the file info
You might notice a subtle trend. Both Megumi and Okui sing most of the Slayers songs, but I don't care, I love them. Buy all of the Slayers CD's now! Happy listening, Geej!

Why did I write anime OP? I meant to say Anime OST. Me tired from being in charge of six little boys for half of the week. Two of them had ADD. They never slow down. Ugh. Me so very tired. ZZZZzzzzzzzz...
