SO. #1, the author is sick. #2, the author's computer just got hit with a virus last night that forced me to restore the computer, thus losing everything on it, including the software for my scanner.
Hence, at the moment, I'm currently scrambling around looking for my disk for my HP 3300c scanner. If I can't find said disk, things aren't looking so good. People, please cross your fingers - I don't want this to end up like QoW. I really don't.
------------------

Oh, been there done that already, it doesn't want the drivers, it wants the actual scanning SOFTWARE. Am working on this, however, so keep those fingers crossed, may have a solution pretty quick.
..and no, I'm not planning on letting this die. MY comic. Grr. *g*
------------------

Evil thing! If all else fails, Jasc Software's PSP has scanning software built in and is what I use to run my scanner. They have a free trial version. Long download if you're using a modem, about 15 minutes over a DSL line.
Good luck,
Velvet

Erk! Oh, no! Something like this happened in another comic I read, called "Vet's on the Net". First everything started going wrong, then, next thing you know, the comic shuts down! I sure hope that doesn't happen here.
------------------

As a computer tech, I've always gone directly to the HP web site for drives and software. I you can't find it throgh the website, it may still be online. In the past I've called HP tech support and after talking to a real live human, I've usually been given a url to download what I needed for my client. It used to be a 800 phone number. I couldn't hurt to try.
Hope you feel better soon and don't need to go through all the trouble i recommended.

I've got a 3300c myself. If all else fails, I can upload the installer for PrecisionScan somewhere.
It'll take a while to get 'em up there, but if you can't find them anywhere else, just email me.
-Chris
