I can understand your pain. I'm lucky to have my own comp online, I used to share too. DSL is great girl, not only can your roommate be online, but you can at the same time. The download spead is awesome. The upload lacks a bit it still beats the hell out of dial up. All you really have to do is get the network card and hook your comp to his DSL box. There should be like 4 computer hook ups. The only problem is getting the wire from his box to your comp. We drilled holes in the walls and stuff. I dunno if you can do that. We have all 6 comps online. (My bro rigged it, shhhh) We're only supposed to have 4.hehehe, take the phone and toss it out the window. Or use my method. If I can't find the phone, I unplug the reciever. If someone was on the phone they aren't anymore, hehehe. And the next time you want the bathroom shut the hot water off... Well that only works if they are in the shower. I'd just turn a fire alarm on if I had to go too bad.
I just asked my bro about your comp problem, he was wondering if your roommates still have a dial up acount? If not, there's no way you'll get on through dial up, you'll HAVE to get DSL in order to get on the internet. But that sounds like it'll solve your problem about getting online. You can be on the phone and on your comp all at once. I highly suggest it. Anyways, hope that helps! Later,Jennet

For some reason, my computer won't connect. I don't understand why because I don't really understand what my roommates have set up here. I'm doing this from my roommate's computer that has the DSL which I don't even know if it's okay that I use. I still need to get a network card and stuff so I can have DSL too. I don't know why my computer won't just connect normally. (look I'm depressed about this, I really wanted to get the damned site updated... ;;_;;) It's so impossible to know if anyone's using the phone in this house and (okay, I'm going to ramble about personal gripes now) as if we didn't have enough people in this house to use the phone all the time, now one of my roommate's girlfriends seems to have decided to camp out here. It's like she lives here and she's not paying bills or anything. It's really not any of my business I guess but.. arrgh! i just want to update my site! Is that so much to ask? I was really happy how I'd managed to get in a schedule where I could draw the comic every day and stuff! but what does it matter if I can never freaking update it! I can't even pick up the phone to see if someone's on it because the phone (a cordless) is NEVER on the hook, someone always just leaves it somewhere!!!!! And I'm not even going to get into how fucking long I waited to get in the bathroom yesterday. Six people cannot live here!! I miss being home. If I can't find a new job in a couple weeks I'm going back, maybe for a while. Okay, sorry about that, I just am very sick of this, because it is what caused the comic to update so damned infrequently in nov-dec and it looks like it's just going to happen again. >< Anyway, hopefully I'll sort this all out and get the new page up soon. Anyway, I don't want him to catch me here.Later,

Yeah I knew that was probably my only solution so I kicked ass today and bought/installed what I needed to and joined the network. I'd always meant to, but hadn't done it yet. (that's why we got the DSL network, so we could solve our phone issue). So I worked it out. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif"> Yep, everything is super fast. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif"> Actually though, I'm still a little annoyed... Since they fixed the network for me I let my roommates borrow my computer to play some masculine boy game ^^;;;;;;;;;;;; online, and they probably would have kept going for another five hours (yep, I waited five hours) if I hadn't demanded to be able to get on to update my site. They better not do this all the time! (they have their own computers, but they've got friends over now to play their silly game...) hehe thanks for the concern, hehe I do stay up pretty late but I also sleep in usually for a long time. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/tongue.gif"> besides, working on the comic is what I consider relaxing work.

that's good, just don't push too hard!!On weekends, I'd sleep around 1 or 2 and wake up nearly in the afternoon. It's bad.But I like it! ^_^you know why I sleep so late? I read all the online mangas at night.I should be reading catcher in the rye though. >_<

Hey, The Catcher in the Rye was one of the few books I was forced to read in high school and actually enjoyed! heheWell, today I laid on the couch listening to Andrea Bocelli and working on the comic. I definately don't consider this hard work. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif"> <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif"> In fact I enjoy it perhaps overly too much. hehe I stay up late because my whole house does, and it's hard to go to sleep with four other people in the house being up and making noise. Oh well, there's plenty of stuff to keep myself busy with around here..

Today.I... don't know what I did.
I was really happy today, dunno why.Went shopping w/mom.
I should've been doing my homework, but I didn't do anything but spanish.I should start... not procrastinating. I can't concentrate at home... there's way too much distraction.I can't even draw around here anymore.distractions distractions. I needa go out.

Anyway, it's late and I need my sleep for school tomorrow, nite nite.

hrm, I wish I had a hobby. I am so worn out from work in the afternoons, that I come home and sit on my bum. Sometimes it's even hard to come sit at the comp. I'd much rather be in bed. I mean most of the day is gone anyway. *shrugs* I have to admit ever since I started reading FMS it hasn't been to hard to persuade myself to come to the comp. hehehe. Aw, you sound overworked, Arvynia. I understand the too much distraction thing, there are way too many distractions around here to get too much work done. If my roomates are at work sometimes I can at least count on getting a comic page done. It's also helped they've been so distracted by their masculine boy game thing they're playing. Otherwise, they're always around being loud. Thank god I've got Kaulani here, I can always stand her. Today I was actually out most of the day, but I'm a page ahead in the comic anyway.
