It's been a long day. Seems that way with everyone. *yawns* Anyways, I'm completely bored, so I thought I'd just ramble a bit here. There is something very unnatural about this message board. Webcomic artists are not supposed to actually post on their own boards and make the readers feel happy because they did. *holds up a cross, waving it around the other threads* back evil thing who poses as a webcomic artist! We know what you really are!So anyway, speaking of seemingly off topic posts I wasn't mistaking you for the artist, but simply making an offhanded comment from watching all of the... uh postilcious thingys that happen here...Anyway, I am still bored. So what else is up?

pfft, you make it sound as if a webcomic artist posting on their own boards wasn't a pleasent surprise to me. It's all good. And I've got you all beat, I work at a gas station! yeah!
Sure the pay isn't all that great but it gives plenty of nothing time in which to do homework. Unfortunately I am not allowed to bring a laptop with me to get my computer science finished.Good god, 2 year olds? Children hate me, infact I have had 2 different children walk up to me and say "I hate you" while I was walking down the street. It is a bit depressing when kids you don't even know say that to you. well, first... you work with 2yr old children? *envyous* (yes, I know they are exhausting, I worked with children too last year,but they are soooo cute...)^_^ And just for satisfain your curiosity... Now I work as a pop corn maker in a cinema (I'm begining to hate popcorn). At least I can watch films for free.

lol, yep, good old little cuddly wuddly 2 year olds. (What? I had a pretty good day....) Ok, maybe not a great day. I got slapped by one of my kids who didn't feel like being in time out. And boy did we have a loooonnnnnggggg talk with mommy.
Other than that particular child, we have an awesome class. I'm one of the only people I know who can say "I adore my job". And even with shitty pay it's worth so much to me. I have ALOT of patience when it comes to kids. Hehehe, couldn't do the job without it.
Children not liking me, can't say I've experienced too much of it. There are just some children I can never really relate to, nor them to me. I don't deal with most children from age 9-13. There's something that just rubs me the wrong way about that age group. Middle School, brrr.
Ugh, popcorn. I usually like popcorn but I'm having an off day when the name/smell/taste of any food item gags me. I have these days like bi monthly. *shakes her head* I'm just a loon. Ignore me, lol.
Gas station, eh? Sounds like a good job to me. Anywhere I can sit down and write sounds good to me. Try writing with one two year old in your lap slapping the paper, and another running off with the pen, lmao.
Ok, let's face it, Alice has the best (up and coming) job out of all of us. lol, I could never do it. Children may like me, but computers do not. Evil machines... Maybe it's just mine. I went through this whole ordeal where my computer ate 9 chapters and pages after pages of notes on a story I was working on. I mean, they just grew legs and ran off one day, I swear! The whole freaking folder they were in disappeared! I was (am?) so pissed off. My brother swears to me he has them backed up on a zip disk. Now if I only had the intelligence to hook up a zip drive I'd be alright... And let's not even talk about asking him to do it, pigs would fly first. He's so lazy. I just have to rewrite it all. *breaks down into tears*

0.owow.Okay, first... I sorta have a job, as a compie techie assistance. I do easy stuff like carrying compie parts, upgrading systems, and putting together computers. But it's only one day and one hour of the week, so it's like petty cash. -_- ah well. I think my life right now is way too busy to get a 'real' job.I like kids. They like me. They also like to hit me. And hit ON me, which I sometimes think is cute and freaky at the same time. >_< I envy those that have a settled job... um... a stable temporary one at least. But I know... I shouldn't really rush, since after college, I'll be working fer the rest of my life... urk.And wow... alice, a game company/videogame industry? And what might that be? Hmmm? That's so cool... I want to be involved in a videogame company... or a game magazine, so I can sit on my arse all day, play games, and write what I think about it. Gah... that'll be perfect for me!But nope. I'm still applying fer colleges... and stuff. Umm... hopefully, I can become a fashion designer!! Seriously. I've only applied to one college so far, and at the rate things are going, seems like I'm definately getting in that one, but I gotta wait till school's oveeeeeeeeeeer! >_<

Oh yeah... just a few weeks ago, my brother went to a halflife tournament, so he carried the whole darn compie w/him. It crashed over there... so he had to reformat the whole thing.And my college essays were in it. >_<Mind you, I DID save it on a disk. Phew, right?
He took the disk (!!!) w/him cuz it was in the disk drive and he didn't bother to leave it at home.So.... at that tournament, people had to pass around small files, and no one had a disk, but my bro did (which also happened to have not only my college essays, but my fashion designing project in it as well). He "lend" the disk to people to use so they can copy the game file from it... somewhere along the way... either it got lost or my bro fergot about it. And he called me stupid for not backing it up in a disk? Am I? Helloooo... did he even bother to check what was in there and consider that someoone might need it? >_<So. I know how frusterated you were (are). lol

Kersus--sheez, I didn't know there was a specific WAY webcomic artists are supposed to act. eek, I'm doing it wrong then? Well, I don't care if I am, this is MY messageboard, I'll do it how I feel like doing it. Actually I'm just completely honest on this board, and I try to act like myself. I'm living under the assumption that most people wouldn't actually WANT to talk to me, so naturally it makes me very happy if readers post, so I'm always going to thank them for it. Just like it makes me extremely happy that anyone actually reads this comic. S'what happens when you draw a comic for two+ years and only have about 3 normal readers. I'm overjoyed that people read and enjoy my work now that it's online. They deserve my highest regard. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif"> So, okay, evil I may be a little, but blarrgh, I really am the webcomic artist! <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/tongue.gif">emerald--heh heh.. I could never work in daycare. I do like kids, but I'm just not... a little kid person. Not for extended amounts of time anyway, especially not young kids. I can deal with anyone older than 6. Of course I'm also the kind of person that wants to be alone at least a quarter of my time anyway. I'm strange... ^^;;; As for my occupation. Well the last couple months I sold fudge and an "upscale" stand in the mall. But that was a xmas job so now I don't have one. I do think I've landed a job in my field working in the videogame industry (computer modeling, animation), which should pay rather well, but it won't start for a month or two. I have no idea what I'm going to do until then. Good thing I have some money at least. there you have it. ^^;;;;;;;Alice

Oh, that'd be one dead bro there... After the first time my bro reformatted the computer without asking anyone, he knew he'd better not ever do it again. At that time 3 people other than himself were using that computer. (Mom, little bro, and myself. Dad couldn't use a comp to save his life.) Now we have 6 comps in the house, lmao. 2 pretty much go unused. But they're crap comps. The one in the kitchen is used to flash pictures because that's all the hard drive has room for, the one in the living room is our random uses comp. (scanning, printing, pinball) My brothers share a bit of dinning room space for both of theirs, then there is mine in my room, and mom's in her room. Lol, poor dad. He hates computers, lmao. We just bought him a DVD player he can't figure out... *shakes her head*
lol, how old are these kids that hit on you? Boys from about 4-7 get crushes on me. It is the cutest thing! I don't know how many times I've been told I'm their girlfriend. I just go right along with them. What? Me crush their tiny little hearts?! No way!
Trained monkeys? Isn't that who delivers the mail nowadays...? Sorry, no offense to anyone mail related. We've been getting all these other peoples mail for about a month now. Lol, I can draw Trunks and Vegeta, (note: I said draw, not "draw well") lmao. And my fanfic character. Not too much else from DBZ. Ah, I'm not a huge disney fan, although I loved The Emperor's New Groove. Cute, cute movie. That was Disney right? *thinks*
Anyways, ugh, I still haven't been able to talk my bro into hooking up the zip drive. The closest I got was a "later." I want my story!! *throws a hissy fit* Hrm, the kids must be rubbing off again... lol, you'd be surprised at the childish habits I have now. I play with my food, am constantly moving, find myself singing kiddie songs all the time, and I take naps. Horrid, horrid children.
Oh, corrupted files, yucky. *kicks them* I wish I knew what happened to my story. *pouts* Oh, and I pout. Alot. And I talk about myself in third person, lmao. No, I am NOT kidding. Well, I wouldn't say I have the best job, because I don't actually even HAVE the job yet. I mean, I'm pretty much got it, but I won't HAVE it for another two months or so. And it's a new company, so who even knows if they'll get through a year? And it's like the CEO keeps putting off opening. I'll never "have" the job, but I've "got" the job. See what I mean? O_o I don't really even enjoy animation/modeling. It's just something I went for school for. I hope to eventually be paid for what I enjoy. :/You know, I'm really surprised that most webcomic artists don't post on their own boards. Most of the ones I go do, but they aren't mega-popular comics either. I like lazy jobs as long as no one cares if you bring something to read. Can't say they hit on me ^^;;; but they do like me. They usually come up to me while I'm trying to draw something and ask me to draw them something. I've had several children I don't know look at comic pages I was working on and ask me to draw DBZ characters for them. ^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; As if I could draw DBZ characters.. and if I did, can you imagine how wussy/pretty they'd look? *imagines Goku with my-style drawn hair* hehe! I usually just ask if they'd rather have disney characters. That, I can do. Younger kids, though, usually, as you said, just want to run off with your paper and pencil instead of look at what you're drawing. ^^;; I do like them, but in small doses.Jeez, that happened to me about writing a story. Although I didn't have the sense to back it up and it was a virus that killed it. This should be the official rambling thread. LOL....I love my bro.... and I was pissed at him... and ended up having to rewrite that essay in 2 days and send it off... But I dunno... my bro and I have a really close relationship. And I don't think I could get TOOO pissed at him... I mean...my college essays, I can always rewrite. I guess I felt bad for him during that time, cuz he was going through some harshh ... times... you know. And he just went off to play games and got caught up... I just wanted him to have fun, cuz he deserved it. I couldn't get angry at him too much. >_< So I just let it slide.
As for those kids... they range from 7 to teenagers. I'm 17, and my last b/f was 15. And then there was this guy that was 12 and he had a crush on me... and then even younger guys.... 0.o... is it just me, or am I attracting younger and younger guys?It's weird. I won't mind someone my own age though. ^_^Wow... 6 compies? lol...that's ALOT! I only have 2!!! And the one that was reformatted is currently down.Yes... talk to readers... we want to be talked to.

hmm.... I can draw... but usually only females. I can draw guys if I had a piccie to look at! ^_^And I "specialize" in manga/anime style, though I still think it needs quite a LOT of work ^_^;;

Ugh, younger guys. I've done that too many times to admit. That's just a no-no on my dating list. I'll give them a 6 month chance, but nothing younger. Of course right now I'd be happy just to have a date. *sighs* I'm so lonely! *whimpers* Okies, so that's mostly my fault. I mean I never go anywhere, and it's not like I meet any eligible men at work. I work in a freaking daycare. I meet fathers. I need to get out more, lol.
I TRY to draw anime style. And it's not aweful, it's just not good. lol. I'm in that "you can tell she's an amature" stage.

Are you kidding me? If I was an anime, I'd be in heaven!!!!!!!!!!I can draw myself as an anime character though!! ^_^I've only dated one guy that is younger than me. In fact, he was my ex. I liked him alot, but psychologically, it just didn't mesh. I was ready to commit, but he wasn't, so he broke it off. Took me almost 3 months to get over him.

I would date a younger guy if the situation came up, but I'd have a limit, I wouldn't wanna be a child molester, ya know. lolYer lonely? Me too... but I think for me right now, I'd rather have it that way. I like being single, though I wouldn't mind a boyfriend. Hmm... maybe Alice will let me have Sapheire for a day...? <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/wink.gif">There hasn't really been anyone that has caught my attention anyway. You would think there would be someone w/a school over 4000 kids... but nope, not a single one. as for MY drawings... I really didn't like any of the how to draw anime/manga books that I've seen. (although I don't really like how to books in general--I prefer to work from life) They just didn't look all that cool to me. There was one I saw with a whole bunch of oddly-proportioned girls that I didn't like. O_o I have no idea which books they were though, except that they were drawn by americans.ha, you sound like me, it seems like I never go anywhere where I would meet guys to go out with. blarrgh, oh well, I enjoy being single. There's less to think about, you know? I just finished doing Chemistry homework and I found two problems that I don't think are even possible. So I wrote to my teacher (I am homeschooled). So maybe I'll figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Meeting guys? Ha. I'm really pathetic, and I have a crush on this guy I work with. But I'm not even going to go any farther because I'll just start banging my head on the desk. O_o That's never fun.
I don't think I could draw anime to save my life. Character sketches are a different matter; I can already see the characters in my head...

Ergh, am tired now. It's past midnight and I usually don't go to bed until 1:30 or 2 but my mom has been making me get up about 5 hours earlier than I'm used to. //>_<\...blarghhhh. Perhaps mother has been replaced by evil mother-clone morning-loving demon? And I still want to work on my story for a while...

How to draw books, pfft, thats all I gotta say about that.
I was masterful at my stick man in the top hat with a pointy stick comic that I drew back in the high school days. (get this, the schools name was "prince of whales" aka POW. very fitting initials)
Granted a book on how to draw might be something you want if you ever want to produce something of "quality" but why would you ever want to do that? Quality sounds like it would be a lot of work.I hear you spockerel, the joys of my part time job have me getting up at 5:30 am, which just happens to be in another hour. (reading comics at 4:30 in the morning, how sad is that?) and I will end up just sleeping when I get home as usual. But of course this gets to be the week my lenghy Assembly code is due, which I have naturally been putting off. So what will happen is when I hit the sheets after I get home at 3pm, I'll wake up at around midnight and have a perfectly quiet house to work on my homework in till class starts in 7 hours after that. I should have just enough juice to be able to hand in my assignment and then I sleep during my lectures for the rest of the day.
Oh and the guy at your work wants you to talk to him, so just do it.I suppose I could expand on that last line a little more, but I would feel very akward as this conversation has me thinking of a slumber party for some reason. Which isn't a bad thing, but for me to fit in I might have to start working on my lisp a little more if you catch my meaning.Thank you very much emerald, I have been searching for a source of anime for a long time, none of the stores in my area carry any for some reason. It never occured to me to check there.

WHEEEEEEEE, a rambling page, well I figured I'd stop by, put in my two cents....or I would, if I had a job, flat broke and all, its a horrible thing...... espicially (sp?....never could spell that right....i cn'at seppl os esu em....) since I'm nineteen (20 in ten days....go me....don't know what I wanna do with my birthday though......probably gameworks, or just stay home and play some video game or another (preferably REZ, which I love, and no, not the playstation 2 version, I have the dreamcast import.....). Hmmm.....drawing, gonna try my hand at that soon (and if I don't stink horribly at it maybe I'll post something.....though I doubt it). I did pick up one of those how to draw manga books (mostly due to the fact that I've never really tried drawing before, and anything that could possibly help, to me, is worth looking into....That includes tips from all you great artists, please?). Hmmmmm...... kids I can take to a certain extent (though they do seem to like me, not sure why though..........probably cause I'm still as immature as a six year old. (or the fact that I like to teach them bad things, hehe, nothing dangerous of course, just general pranks and such, you know, like teaching a one and a half year old the joy of opening and closing car door windows, or fun with toilet paper, little things like that...... That and the fact that I can read stories fairly well, enough to keep them interested for more than five minutes anyway...... though not much longer......I'm yet another person that needs to get out more, ( I do like to hang out a gameworks every so often, but other than that I don't really do all that much, its something I need to do something about....at some point or another) I do hang out with my cousins when they have VOOT gatherings (though again not very often, haven't done that for a couple months.......) Oh, and for those who don't know, VOOT= Virtual On Oratorio Tangrem, a cool 3d robot fighting game. Anyway thats enough rambling from me, gonna go play some Skies, cause I do so love that game, BLUE ROUGES ATTACK, hehehe, see ya------------------
