Hehe, I played with those ponies until I was like.. How old? Probably until I was in second grade. I loved those things, I used to make schools and little purses and ties for each of them.. hmmm well ink poisoning is real but it has alot to do with the quantity and placement.<P>ex: if you were to dip your hand into an ink vat while cut there is a good chance you'll get ink poisoning but unless you cover your body or all of your hand you probly won't get it.<P>not popular until high school? heh you got it better than me. Hehehe, I love My Little Ponies. Just an hour ago I was shopping and I spotted those little cute ones and I had that child-urge to buy the whole pack, but then again my sister is hooked on them now hehehe ^^<P>My older sister and I used to make the smartest ponies go on talk shows and those knowledge games.. It was pretty funny, I love the unicorn ones. I only had one anyway, her name was Princess Unicorna ( corny, but I love her anyway ) <P>Alice? Not popular? You gotta be kidding me! If she was around my age she's be the 'queen' I guess. I used to be really popular in Kuwait ( some place far away from the USA, near Saudi Arabia ) - thats where I used to live before we moved here this year. I'm not that popular over here anyway, the 'in' group of girls love Justin T., talk valley dialect and wear makeup and flirt with the annoying guys. I'm in a little group with the people that act real, or in my words weird ^^ <P>And Shawn - its pretty obvious you probably stuck with race cars and that boy stuff. For crying out loud! I now have the My Little Pony theme song stuck in my head.... which is kinda scary since I remember the words. o.O I loved MLP and TMNT! As a matter of fact, earlier this year at an 80's themed costume party, me and my roommates went as the Ninja Turtles and won the costume contest! Oooh, don't forget She-ra and He-man and Care Bears and things like Popples. Dear Lord, I owned every toy of all of those series and the houses and accessories to accompany them, ponies included. ^_^

Jem!?!? I LOVE that show hehehe.. Just last summer I went to my country ( barf bag someone ) Lebanon, and up in the mountains I discovered loads of those tapes. I can still remember the song ^^ " Exciting adventures, fashion and fame, Jem, Jem is my name..." <P>Justin T= Justin Timberlake. Known to be in the most annoying group N'Sync. 'Pop' was driving me wild, everywhere I went in the streets there were girls singing it. Hell, I have no clue whats so cute about him. He looks ugly man, the only cute 'human' guys I've got crushes on is *blushes* Jackie-chan and this guy from the 'Drawing is my Anti-Drug' commercial. I don't know why, but he seems cute to me. I like guys with braces sometimes hehehe...<P>TMNT.. I used to always watch that show in Saudi Arabia - hehe, if you probably noticed by now I'm not American, just have parents that want me to be. <P>And Shawn - Kuwait... Well, its hot. Even in the winter time, its boiling. Funny, you'd expect me to have a tan from it, but I don't. And girls can't go out in shorts, because there are some really nasty perverts roaming the streets. You could get kidnapped easily, so I never walked to a store. Thats why I'm not so used to it over here... And Kuwait is verrrrryy rich. I used to live in a compound, with our own pool. <P>And if your look out for hot girls- big dissapointment for you Shawn <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/wink.gif"> If you take one look at them, their boyfriends ( trust me, they all have one ) pound you. And you really have to learn arabic if you go there, because almost everyone there speaks the kuwaity slang. And it sucks, I can't even talk in my own language but I've mastered english <P>Oooh... I used to have sooo many comics of MLP.. There was a Miss Little Chatterbox section, I can't remember her name, if that was it. I loved so many of them hehehe.. I wish I was a kid, but then again I really want to grow up already and get out NY.<P>And Alice, if you were in my school you'd be famous. Thats how I got ^_~ Talents make people famous, and popular. famous within your own group is what I've found. I'm well knowen in my school (well was I'm takeing a year off from collage) but not neccicarily well liked it seems that if your male and not into hockey your some kinda freak (hell I can't even skate good)that and I'm not into the other sports much either so I can't hang out with the jocks and I've no motavation to be a striaght A student so the "I'm smarter than you" crowd leaves me alone <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif"> the fact that I consistantly prove I can grasp the consepts in class as well or better than them without study might have something to do with it. (if this sounds like braging well I'd be lying through my teeth to say I wasn't so I won't)<P>well kew kuwait was hot and arabic but short of that I knew nothing. too far away I guess.<P>and good for you mastering english I've heard it is hard to learn I don't know cause it's all I speak.

aww the crack street boys wannabe's now it makes sense well can't say I see why the chicks like em but as I've said before the female side of the spieces is beyond me personaly I recognize they have some talent for singing but I still don't wan't to hear it that and they got no taste in songs geez you'd think they'd use that truck load of money to make a decent song.

I felt the need to point out that some of us absolutely detest boy bands and think they have precisely no singing talent and have no decent songs and can't dance for crap and aren't even cute for crying out loud and that stupid teenage girls will buy anything that is over hyped. *sighs* Okay, I'm better now. ^_^

Wow Shawn - your a guy and you hate guy bands. Hell, I stick up for girl singers loads, only the good ones anyway, and the ones that dress nicely. <P>Its sad, yes. Every single girl in my class except three of them ( meaning, the two are in my group and I'm the third ) has a crush on Justin Timberlake or like N'Sync or the BSB. Its quite sad, they go crazy over some lame song that just came out and they even have the dolls of them, tee shirts, cds, blah-blah-blahblah, etc. Some of them like O-Town ( *baaarrrffff...* ) and a girl goes crazy over that annoying little brat Aaron Carter. Well, this is New York. Home of the valley girls <P>Well, I don't skate all that good either. But I love hockey, its a cool sport. Its not like I'm the best at it, I'm usually golley. Boy, these threads are pretty long. I want to reply but I can't seem to keep up. Anyway, I'll just respond to some of the things mentioned above.<P>I used to watch She-ra when I was young (and yes I'm male). <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/wink.gif"> I like Hordac. I think the She-ra stories were way better than the He-man stories.<P>I've been to Saudi Arabia when I was about 9 years old because my dad used to work in Yanbu and Jeddah. I expected the Middle east to be quite hot but it wasn't. It's hotter in my home country, the Philippines. Or at least more humid.<P>As for boy bands and cute boys... no comment.

As for me, I'm into all types of music. Whatever suits my fancy. I use music to inspire me into drawing. That's why I buy and collect soundtrack score albums.<P>For example, when I drew an army of humans in page 1 of chapter 2 of my comic, I was listening to the Gladiator Soundtrack score.<P>When I drew my fanart of Vaela and Sapheire, I was listening to sentimental sounding anime soundtrack tunes I have.<P>When I'm drawing a brawling/fighting sequence, I usually listen to linkin park.<P>I don't dislike one particular type of music though. Linkin Park? I like that band, but they tend to get a bit to loud, I only like their new song. <P>Give me anything and I'll listen to it, except old 80's jazz. I HATE that music, you don't know how many years I had to listen to it in the car with my father... Sheesh... <P>I like symphony. Its soothing.. And I listen a lot to japanese, mostly jrock.<P>Ah, thats what I thought about Jessica Simpson when I first heard of her. Just another fake. Then I read in a magazine a huge article about herself, and she's actually different. I can relate to her, all her problems. Except the famous part <,<<P>Same thing with me, when I'm listening to music it reflects off what I'm drawing. Its mostly japanese anime music, so I tend to go anime all the time.

Hehe. Well, Alice, I burned CDs too for that purpose. But now, I just have my CDs ripped on to my Harddisk and create mp3 playlists. So I have my PC running and playing mp3s when i'm drawing. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif"> I have anime-fight, anime-fast, anime-mellow, chase, etc... <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/wink.gif"><P>But I guess if I draw everywhere, like you, it would be better for me to burn my playlist selections on cds and listen to them on my portable cd player. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif"><P>------------------

And while that is playing, the images from the show plays in my head, making me more sad. *gasp!* I sooo do that too! Each of my stories and most of my characters have theme songs so to speak and I always have mood music when I'm drawing depending on what I'm trying to put into it. And, like you pointed out Alice, I've found that most video game or anime soundtracks make for good action scene drawing. I have this little routine which my friends and I have dubbed 'imagine time' wherein I put on some of these story evoking songs and just sit there in the dark with my eyes shut and wait to see what my imagination comes up with. As a matter of fact, nearly half of one of my stories spawned from listeining to the Titanic soundtrack on shuffle (I'm not so fond of the flick myself, but the music I like). Movie soundtracks are good for this purpose, the Gladiator soundtrack being among my favorites.

Geejay - I was referring to the song 'Crawling' it sometimes gets on my nerves, but I think the vidio clip is pretty cool. It shows how I sometimes feel at times <P>They do scream into the mic allot ^^<P>Alice - do you know when you'll possibly get those songs done? I'd love to hear them ^_^;;
