FMS Babewatch project

Hmm, as long as people are talking about the Final Fantasy movie, maybe I should offer my thoughts here as well (I did already on Geejay's forum to a certain extent :P )
I thought the movie was great. I wasn't influenced by the hype (there's only so much television I watch here in Korea, namely NONE), and I wasn't looking for technical perfection. In other words, I went to see FF expecting, quite simply, a great movie.
And I think it delivered.
Sure, the lip-synching was a little off. You can say the same thing about most animes out there. Some of them don't even take the time to animate the lips properly; the last anime title that I saw that had actual lip animation going along with the voices was the Macross Plus OVA. Forget about the ones showing on television nowdays.
And who DARED to suggest that Professor Sid should have died?! Sid NEVER dies! Unless you're playing FF6 and feed him rotten fish...
I thought the ending was great. I loved the death. I loved how they died. It's something to see a guy get shot and bloodied up in a movie, but it's something else to see his very life force get sucked away by a manevolent spirit being. It was... different, and I liked it. Basically, Final Fantasy had a Japanese ending.
That last paragraph was rather morbid, wasn't it? Let me clarify that I liked what they did IN THE MOVIE. I hate death in real life.
Now that that's over, I have many, many things I want to happen in my own comic in the future... like hero deaths! Hee hee hee...

chad what's your comic called or would I be able to read it?
now FF looked good in previews but I personaly don't like movies that go 100% cg cause they lack somthing that tradtional cell animation has I'm not sure what but they just lack somthing and it makes the movie less enjoyable for some reason (this is just me so don't get offended)

Chad makes a good point. Mose people I know don't very much care for the ending of Crouching Tiger (though they throughly enjoy the movie as a whole). The whole dying thing most folks don't understand. While I did pray to the heavens for Grey to suddenly wake up and not be dead any more (I know I said it before, I'm a sucker for the sappy happy endings) but I'm glad he didn't. It would have been ruined. Long live Cid!! ^_^
Attack of the Clones is a lame title. That's all I have to say about that.
Someone said Harry Potter!! Harry Potter Harry Potter Harry Potter Harry Potter!!!! Whoooo!!! I love Harry Potter! ^_^ It's the best book series I've read since Wrinkle in Time! *dances with Crown Woods and any other slightly obsessed fans* I have a Snitch keychain (looks like a gold hacky sack with wings!) on my keys. How sick is that? ^_~
I also can't wait for Lord of the Rings and that fabled fourth Indiana Jones movie I heard about so long ago that's supposed to be filmed some time this century. Heehee... I love Indy. ^___^

Oh, I watched CTHD without the subtitles. I still understood it though, and it was pretty funny in a few scenes. I love tragick endings, it does give a point. Although I don't get the Crouching Tiger part, I know who the Hidden Dragon is though >.>

Harry Potter?? I read those books before my anime stage, when I was really into fantasy. I'd love to see it too ^_^ Probably better than Final Fantasy, I'll bet. And I can't wait for Lord of the Rings.. WHOOO!!!! *jumps around* Gonna be a great year!!

I feel special now! I wouldn't know about any of the movies because poor deprived little me hasn't seen any of them. ;.; I don't have a DVD player either *cries* Oh well. I'll live...And continuously watch my pathetic VHS collection.
Thanks dragoness, I got it out of a book. I don't remember exactly what it said, but it's something like that. It's my second favorite quote, the other one sadly being from Pokemon the movie 2...I hated my little brother for forcing me to watch the 4 times in a row... -.-;
------------------
