While at work...

Postby Uncle monster on Wed Dec 19, 2001 5:29 am

So, here I sit at work, typing up a manual.
The manual is a step by step instruction guide to nearly every aspect of my job. My boss is adamant that I have it completed by the end of the year. I, of course, am posting to this forum instead of working.
Now, the question. Is it a bad thing to put everything you know about your job down on paper? Am I in trouble? Any thoughts?

Well then, maybe you don't have much to worry about given he's waited this long.
I understand the need to take a break. It's just more important to read the forums while doing some tasks than others. It explains some of my posting schedule.

By the end of the year? If I were doing such a thing, I'd rest more comfortably if I knew we were trying to implement ISO-9000 or something.
Wait a minute, no I wouldn't. What a pain that would be.
But it would relieve certain other questions given the deadline of end of the year. Hope everything works out.

I believe the year end deadline is due to the fact that he told our VP that it was already done. (Why? I dont' know)
Also...well...he sorta told me to do it six months ago...and...I...uh...well...Ok, I'm lazy.
