There's no way people are going to participate in a message board for a comic strip, albeit a good one. People just look in thier bookmarks, come here, read the strip, then leave. They don't want to spend excess time.
Asking, nay, begging people to post here and wondering why they won't is like asking why pop-up ads don't generate revenue; it just won't work. Now, Penny-Arcade often deals with popular "nerd subjects." Your strip deals with issues (heh, that sounds funny). I'm not saying it's bad; I'm just saying there's not much to post about.
Now, here comes the all important factor: of course, this is all IMHO.

Phew, I thought you were going to go postal on me x.x
If it means so much to you, Mongoose and I will keep the board alive with nonsensical postings about the comic.
Or at least I will.

I dunno, I kinda both do and don't agree with that assertion. Sure, there may not be any singular grand idea about which to post, but heck, it's all good, right? Given that readership IS in the hundreds, it's not such a farfetched thought that someone would end up posting something that a lot of people would have input on.
IMHO, of course.
------------------

You'd think that. I've tried being contraversial in my strips more than a few times, and the response has always been underwhelming at best. I think Sab is right about the drive-by comic reading thing.
------------------
