Really... I don't know. I still don't entirely understand what is meant by this "emo". But if, say, Across the Sea isn't at least somewhat emo, then I'm more lost than someone who is very lost and doesn't understand the subject at all. Which is entirely possible.

There's always a debate about whether ro not weezer is emo.
I'd say that some of their songs are very emo in lyrical content and perhaps in music as well...but I read an interview with Rivers in ehich he said "I don't know what this 'emo' thing is, but apparently I had something to do with it".
So I wouldn't call them an emo band.
I wouldn't call them anything really...
they're just WEEZER.------------------
