Sorry to hear your pen died... but well... can I make a suggestion? Since I know you're a poor poor college student such as myself... use a fine point Sharpie! They're cheap and they come in pairs! =)

judging by what you drew, it looks like you use a Pilot Hi-Tecpoint V5 ExtraFine!...which just happens to be my favorite pen of choice!so is it? huh? huh?------------------

dave: i'm not sure if Pilot distributes in the US or not; if not, that sucks, because once you used this pen once, you'd never want to go back! <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif">pam: take it from someone who used to buy those MICRONS and Staedlers and etc. professional pens... they're fine and all that, and it can be nice to have different nub sizes, but really, i buy the Pilot Hi-tecpoint by choice... i find it's much nicer than any professional pen, and last WAY longer, to boot!and at 2.99 to 3.99 a pen, it's a major steal!you don't need those fancy shmancy ones now that you know the secret of the hi-tecpoint V5 extrafine!!! <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif"> <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif"> <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif">------------------

He does have powers! Just not the kind you were thinking of. He's been snooping through your place while you are gone! We all know that Damonk can travel through these comics! Now the power has gotten to him, and corrupted him, like that guy in "Hollow Man." I thnk I will go look for it. I've been unhappy with the performance of the pens I've been using. They seem to bleed over too much. ~dave

I've always used a Sharpie fine point pen. I get them at Wal-mart. It's funny cause I always get yelled in art class "That's not a real pen!" I tell the instructor to piss off <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif">I think it gives a nice line to it and doesn't bleed or smear, it dries quickly. I used to use a bigger pen to outline my main characters with, but I didn't like that style. So now I just use the big pen to outline my panel (I really hate doing a lot on the computer) The only thing I do on the computer is scan it in, resize it, color it, and add the text. =)

Beats me if it's only available in Canada or not. I pick mine up at Zellers, usually. Next week during grocery time, I'll have to make a swing by the mall. I'll actually have some cash to blow then! *prance* ....it's essentially an inexpensive pen... I think I paid about 4 dollars, with tax, for my last (currently deceased) one.At least I knew the pen was on the road to ruin and I bought backups... unfortunately, the backups were the thick pens that I've started to use for borders and bubbles... and... um.. the whole strip, now.Anyway, I'd LOVE to have some real, genuine artsy-fartsy person pens, but I'll just take another simple Pilot Hi-Tecpoint V5 ExtraFine....------------------

I'll take your word for it, Damonk! ...so far, you've proven to be very knowledgeable about... um, well, nearly everything! ..and admittedly, it was an absolutely WONDERFUL pen, so another would be a grand investment....I just hope I can find another one, now.------------------

Ok, I looked all over for this pen. All I can find are the Pilot Precise V5 pens, which I use to write. Actually I use the V7 with the thicker point. Is this the same as the Hi-tecpoint? anyone wanna scan it and show me what it looks like? Thanks. Next stop, online office supply stores....~dave ------------------
