That being said, IF My Bloody Valentine were still together, they probably could kick TMBG's ass, literally, but only if John and John didn't have the back-up band.
-Remi

Hi folks, just wanted to say the I (finally) updated the strip. I don't know if anyone checks here and NOT the comic, but I just thought I'd be on the safe side.
Also, my newslet doesn't lie, I will be trying to keep the strip updating WHILE I'M OUT OF TOWN!!! Horror of horrors! The pain, the pain, to have to actually try and read Too Fat to be a Rockstar WHEN IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE POSTED...truly, a dark day in the history of man.
-Remi

I would never say that TMBG is the best band ever, at least, not anymore. I will cede that using them as an example was a poor choice made more from fandom than any basis in fact. I get to be stupid about things, too :-)
A friend of mine wrote me a fairly complete argument about why 'Loveless' is a seminal album. I'll post some, or maybe all, of it in my newslet on Friday (if he doesn't mind) and go into why I disagree with some of his opinions. Music Geekery is so much fun.

Ha, you say "screeching guitars and whispered vocals" like it's a bad thing!
And... "Sure, the sheer WEIGHT of the tracks on 'Loveless' are enough to flatten a fratboy at fifty feet, but since when is that a measure of an album's aural goodness?"
How can you possibly diss a CD with this ability?
Anyway I have great difficulty getting past the nasal whiny vocals of many TMBG songs, even though I enjoy the absurdity of Particle Man.
