I don't think it was out of character at all, many people just like them would react similarly. The only difference would be their motivation. The new kid would be excited because he has more time study for the tests, as well as Paul, but I believe his was more a gut reaction at the sudden destruction of school. Janine seems seems to be the same way. Alexis was probably just in the moment, but who says she wasn't dreading midterms as well. Football or not, Dan is definitely a crowd person and probably somewhere in the back of his mind that wasn't taken over by football was dreading taking midterms as well, it just comes out as football, much like a Smurf really. Besides if you look closely he says "Football" not hooray.
Football was really football-a-riffic, must football the football again somefootball. Football.
[This message has been edited by The Namekian (edited 05-17-2001).]

Why are they all saying hooray?
Alexis is cheering, but the tests were't even part of her agenda. She just wanted to destory Noit, which she did not.
Paul *did* study for the tests.
Did study, and I didn't quite see his as a "hooray!" type person. Shouldn't he be saying something like "The dark forces will be pleased".
Janine would of done good on the test!
Dan can't play on the school's football team if the school is destroyed.
