Good luck on your SATs!
Some people are wondering where you've been lately. People are looking for you. I had to tell them that maybe you were having too much fun with Sims. Or that you are still having eye problems.
Well it seems like you were just preparing for your SATs. Good luck again.

------------------

Me, prepare? No way! And... I missed the SATs. ;_; When I got there, I had forgotten my admission papers. I called home, but my mom wouldn't pick up for over five minutes. And when she finally did, she more or less said "screw off." ~.~,
The comic would have been updated Thursday, but my dad cut off my Net. I could have done it Friday, but he still had the Net cut off and I fell asleep in the afternoon and slept 'til this morning. So it's also partly my fault I missed the SATs -- I was updating the comic. But that's also partly his fault, because if I had been able to update it on Thursday or Friday, I wouldn't have been trying to do it this morning. And, in fact, I would have taken the SATs several months ago if my mother hadn't wanted to procrastinate about it since this past October.
So my problem is, in short:
My dad cares nothing about my comic, but he did everything he could about my SATs. He sat down with me and we registered. When I called my mom, she told me to walk home, but my dad came and picked me up anyway. Of course, if he cared about my comic, I probably would be taking the test right now.
My mom cares nothing about my SATs, or she would have registered me for them in October. Now I have to wait for next October. She does, however, care about my comic, and had asked my dad to turn the Internet back on, but he wouldn't until this morning. If she cared about the SATs, though, I would have taken the test before now and it wouldn't have been so important for me to take them today.
So I'm effectively screwed. And you wonder why I'm dying to go to college?
At least I still have the comic and all the great people here. You guys mean everything to me. ^^ Every time I see the hit counter on the page go up, I feel better, and the fanart, well... you can bet that's made my day. Not to mention new Ask an Elf questions, and posts on the forum in general. I'd take TBE over the SATs any day, though it would have been great if I could have had both.

The ACT is a test that is mainly given in the Midwest, where I live. The SAT has 1/2 math and 1/2 English, whereas the ACT has 1/4 math, 1/4 English, 1/4 reading & 1/4 science. Also, the highest grade that you can get on it is a 36, instead of the 1600 or so on the SAT. I had to take it about a year and a half ago, and my sisters just got their results back from taking it a month ago. People do better on it 'cause there's more variety in the subjects. It still sucks to take them, though.
Hehe, another reason to love Canada. None of these evil tests. (Unless you want into an American college.)

Ah... well we have a government college exam like that of ACT in the Philippines called NCEE. It's just another exam where you can boast how smart you but not really useful in getting into colleges. It's because even though you passed the NCEE, you still have to take the university's own entrance exams. Good thing I did good in both back in high school. I had to. My high school grades weren't very good coz I was lazy.
But I'm glad I'm done with all that schooling business.
Oh, and Jazriot, I like your work... although I was a little confused about the genders of the characters (as I've told Em). hehehe. I may need to re-read it again to understand it better.

I never realised there were so many diferent types of exams!! The only ones I have to take are the IGCSEs and later on the ACEs(is that how their spelled?). And that's because I'm in an english school. At least this way their recognised worldwide(or allmost). I hate to think what it would be like to try and go study abroad with only my portuguese state school grades>.<
Blagh. End of term exams start on wednesday. They probably won't be very hard(I certainly hope so
)Life's being kind on me. There's something bound to happen, I'm sure.
------------------

I'm in Jazriot's boat. No SAT's or anything here! I'm in Canada too! But in Ontario (the province I live in) you have to take 6 couses at the OAC level (Grade 13) if you want to get into University. If you want into college, you don't need those.. But I want University.. so I'm going to have one crazy year in two years.. Especially since Mike Harris and the Board of Education are screwing us all over by taking away semesters and giving us a REALLY screwed up timetable. Oh well. Next year when I'm in Grade 12 we'll still have semesters.. so I don't need to worry. YET..
>.< !

------------------
