Have you figured out the scoring system yet? You get a point for every time you hit the ball, but the amount of points you get when you win changes, doesn't it? But I did get 303 on my last game. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif">

It's horribly weighted towards the computer.Everytime you hit the ball, you get one point. Everytime you WIN, you get 20-25 points, I believe.The computer gets one point every time he hits it, but he gets 40 points whenever he wins. I think.That's close, at least.

Yeah, I average like....8 hits or so per ball. It's just a matter of learning how to put some serious english on it, and doing it on a regular basis. Once it gets up to 7 or 8 hits on the same ball...any sort of english you can put on it might win it for you. I usually lose several times per game...but I volley so much that I make up for it. I've beat DATOR with as little as 340 or so before, but I hardly ever volleyed with him, so the scores were really small.And it's a matter of stringing together a lot of wins together. I've started up 250-70 or so, before. That makes the rest of it a lot easier.But the english...and going with the momentum of the ball...that's the key.------------------

Putting "english" on it means you put an angle on it.I do it by going with the momentum. If your paddle is moving when you hit the ball, then it's going to put english on it. If the paddle is moving in the same direction that the ball is moving, you're going to make it go faster, and you're to put serious english on it. If you go the opposite way, then it straightens it out a little bit.You can also pinpoint (to a degree) where the ball you hit is going by doing this. If you push the paddle in one direction while you hit it, then it should at least attempt to go that way, depending on the momentum.There ya go.And giving and talking about Pong tips is better than reading about them and having nothing better to say than "Man, I can't believe you're talking about this." Haha, sucka!------------------
