I think the annoying thing about Legend was Tom Cruise. Although seeing Ferris Bueller's girlfriend all gothed out was sort of cool. Those little Muppety dwarves creeped me out.
The Princess Bride had better dialogue, anyway.
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

"They passed down all the roads long ago... and the Red Bull followed close behind, and covered their footprints..."
If I'm a 'queer' for loving "The Last Unicorn", then you're an 'idiot' for not bothering to watch it.
The folks who made the animated version of "The Hobbit", Rankin Bass, did it. And it is, as I've previously stated, perfection incarnate. Excellent animation, suberb voice talent, and an absolutely wonderful, original story. "The Last Unicorn" is better than "The Iron Giant"--which is saying something.
I just wanted you kids to stop talking about "Legend" in the "Last Unicorn" thread. They do not compare.
~j

Princess Bride >>
Hello?! What about BEASTMASTER?! And Conan the Barbarian! Jeez!
Hey, does anyone else remember a fantasy flick from the 80's... it was live-action... with some blind albino sorcerer guy... who gets killed and some kinda shapeshifting monster takes his place and follows the sorcerer's friends into this swamp, to try to kill them? And they had some cyclops guy with them, too. That was cool.
------------------
