So what is up with every movie that is released now adays getting action figures made for it? I mean it wasn't like this when we were kids (well I don't know when you guys were kids but I was in the 80's), was it? I mean Planet of the Ape action figures?? Well maybe I would like a Marky Mark action figure toy which I can make do nasty things to my barbie....but I digress. Was it like this when we were kids, and I'm just being completely 'adult' and thinking things are so much better for kids today? Just wondering.

The only difference when we were kids was action figures back then were meant to be played with... not collected and hung up on the wall.<P>------------------

The world's definitely a better place for hockey action figures.<P>The part I don't get is all the bubblegum band action figures. I thought about buying some of those and putting together a Teenpop Bondage scene on my coffeetable, but... <P>No. I'm not that demented. And those fuckers are expensive. <P>------------------

What's up with those crappy JP3 toys!? The original JP dinosaurs had actual "tear-off" dino-damage, while the JP3 dinosaur toys just have it painted on.
And who's that big, muscular guy in the commercials with "action gear"!?!? I don't remember ANYONE in the movie ever even using a weapon on the dinosaurs, other than Macy's flare gun. Pretty soon, they'll be putting "Russ Troll" hair on Sam Neill.
Speaking of which, remember that Dennis Nedry toy? That guy was hardly fat at all!
They should give toys "exploding head" action. That would be just GREAT. I believe such NES classics as "Panic Restaurant" and "Bible Adventures" and "Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom" deserve action figure lines. I could only dream of seeing Mama Moses with super baby-throwing action.

Ugh, I remeber that damn Bible Adventures game. It was like the only game my cousin had for his nintendo one summer, so I spent months playing that shitty game......though the Noah's Ark part where you had to collect two of each of the animals and bring 'em back to the Ark was kinda cool. There was something amusing about seeing Noah run and jump around while holding a big ass animal above his head.....<P> the pilla' of salt

When I was little I had a huge collection of He-Man, GI Joes, Star Wars, and MASK action figures.... along with a crapload of matchbox cars....<P>I also collected baseball cards and I used to collect Mark McGwire rookie cards (everybody would trade them to me for Jose Canseco cards.... I like McGwire better)<P>And well, my mom threw everything away. Bitch.<P>------------------

I have the box to this game still, amazingly.<P>Was one of the more unique designs for a nes cart.<P>I'll be throwing up some old box/cart pictures soon, (actually working ion that right now) so if anyone wants to take a look and revisit the horror of their youths (and thoose damn blasted brick levels), feel free to drop by and look (when it's done of course ^_^).<P>------------------

damnit. cheap 30$ digital I got for christmass last year couldn't take a clean picture of a single object if it's life depended on it. So, I guess that means no pictures of the bible adventures, zelda, double dragon, captain skyhawk, duke nukem, or TMNT boxes, at least not tonight.

but have you realised that there are some realy realy good designs for toys lately but then they ruin it by giving it the worst possible paint job ever? making it just look crappyand cheap! its such a wast of a good design
