Is it just me or are the Simpsons on the decline right now. Don't get me wrong I still love watching the simpsons on TV and the tapes that Ken gave me. Matt Groening is a genius but he is running out of ideas. The Simpsons should get some new writers or call it quits. They should go out on top, like Transformers and GI Joe (Usagi I want my tapes back). I recently purcahsed Transformer the movie on DVD. I'm just rambling now so I think I'll go.
Shoots!!!!!

I disagree.
I still love the Simpsons and I think it's just as good as it's always been. And here's why. They'll never run out of jokes to use and the reason why is because the characters change with the times. Look at the Simpsons when they started and the Simpsons now. What makes them so funny is because they keep up with what is current. That's why I bleieve they've lasted for as long as they have and will last for quite a bit longer.
Just my 2 cents.
------------------
The Normal Guy
College roommate, video games, beer. What more could you want in a cartoon?

Personally, I think it's the sort of show that can go on forever (so long as the folks that do the voices stay on). It has its ups and downs, as writers move on and new ones come on board. I've noticed that they've been getting more and more silly... a lot of the stories have gone to the bad side of "far-fetched." But I still enjoy watching. Still the funniest thing on TV.
------------------

Umm.. if I'm right, I think that BOTH the Simpsons and Futurama are written by people other than Matt Groening. Its kind of like how nintendo just licenses its name out.
I don't know if they're the same people, though.
------------------

Could it be? Yes, I think it is.
Bah! You gave me those tapes, BgFn, if that is your real name!
However, I do agree that The Simpsons has been of lower quality lately. Word is, there's supposed to be a movie coming out. Groening wants to do it, but there's nothing set in stone yet. But, according to him, come hell or high water, there will be a movie.
Big F'n, indeed.
------------------
