Ok the guy is a bloody fantastic artist. His artwork is mind-blowing & i wish i could draw as good as that.
BUT his work aint that amazing/detailed that the guy has to take like a fucking year to do 1, 1 stinking comic!Personally i think Chris Bachalo has a much better style and his work is way mroe detailed and original. Yet he and Joe Kelly (one of the best comic writers ever!) can bring out comics almost every month.What you guys think?MeaN^WeeN

I honestly didn't know Madeueuieieieuira still did comics. I thought he just gave it up or something.And yeah, mark this day down on the calendar, I agree with you. Bachalo's the man. I have the first three or four issues of Steampunk, and the art in them is amazing. Everything he does is pretty damn good. And he does a much better job telling stories with his writing than Joe Mad does. Mad was a hell of a lot better off when he had a corporate entity forcing him to meet deadlines. I don't think anyone gives a flying hump about Battle Chasers anymore, if that's even what he's doing.

Uhhh... MadPB... i wasnt saying that Joe isnt an artist. I know he is, if that was the point you were pointing at. Honestly that article made little sense to what my post was about.All i was trying to say is; Joe Mad got into the industry, he got a great deal in Marvel and hopped from one good comic to the next. He was never late with his work, because he had a job to do. Now that he is by himself he just procrastenates, like everyone should just sit and twiddle their thumbs, while he does absolutley nothing. He hasnt released anything this year... i dont think, he might have released 1 comic earlier in the year. But 1 comic? Honeslty that is shit.Hold on... maybe you were agreeing with me? Were you? I just re-reaad that thing and the writer seems to have the same view as me & Dingo...Either way Joe Madureiera is Chris Bachalos bitch. He should learn from his superiors.MeaN^WeeN------------------

I'll give you the real low down on why his lazy ass only does 1 comic per 6 months... lolOK think about it this way. He already has the fame and the glory and 1000's of people kissing his ass... so now he is like " boring " so when people like PS magazine come around and there like " hey joe can you do a magazine cover for us we'll pay you 10,000 $$$$ for one drawing " ..he's like hell ya im gonna make more in one drawing then I do in 30 pages of comic art... so then when a bunch of companies came around and said can you do some cool shit like you did for PS mag he was like " fuck battle chasers im gonna make fat cash doing freelance "... then like after about a year companies stopped coming around cause everyon was like " joe who??? " then he's like " o' snap kid I better start making some comics so I can get the phat lute from freelance again " ...so he did like 2 more comics " the come back " and now he is getting phat lute from freelance...so no battle chasers for us..and that kids is the way the world work <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif">

Right, well. Here's the thing. Joe Madureira is part owner of a Gaming/Entertainment company. A company he wasn't previously allowed to talk about, or the projects they were working on due to things called 'non-disclosure agreements'. Doing conception and design work for this companies products has been eating away his time. His work with this new company was just recently announced, last week I believe, so no, he's not been lazy. He's just not sticking to comics as his only medium to present his art.
