I'm relieved to know that I'm not the only grown person out there that has a thing for Pokemon cards! ...yes, this is quite the thing to admit, but I enjoy the game. I buy boosters every so often. And I've even managed to get a friend (who helps with my comic but shall remain nameless) to buy some and play with me! ....what's wrong with enjoying a fun little card game? Just because it's popular with kids doesn't make it BAD...I used to play Magic, and I still have most of my cards, but it's just so HARD to find anyone else who still plays! Playing Pokemon makes it easier to get opponents. Besides, you wouldn't believe how good some of these 12 year olds are....you're all still gonna like me after I admit this, right?

Hehehe! I'm actually kinda making fun of pokemon, I hate it.I mean, if I was a kid, I would think it was the coolest damn thing ever, but I find it entirely too annoying now.I have played Magic, I quit about a year ago and I still have all my cards, just no one around here plays anymore so I don't even bother, my friends back home still play alot but I only make it back home once every 3 or so months.

Oh my gourds I thought I was the last one left! I was about to sell off my cards the other day too...I collect the Pokemon cards. I have absolutely NO understanding of the game. I love the artwork! I play(ed) both pokemon and Magic. I suck at both of them, probally cuz the place were I went I was one of the few people who had to buy their own cards. I'm good enough at pokemon that I could teach a new player, but compared to what some decks a 5 year old had I sucked. With Magic I just suck and can't get out to the compitions, and it the same place as the pokemon compitions.------------------

Yeah Fuzzy, I was in the same boat and most of the reason I don't play anymore. I just couldn't keep up with my friend's with new cards.However I was pretty good when it came to competitions, I was a master at making decks. I consistently won 1st and 2nd place every weekend for a while.... that was how I got most my card money from because each week I'd win anywhere from $25-$50. Well Norm, did you use a haymaker or a stall deck, with the pokemon? Were I go every one uses haymakers, i used a stall once lost by one card. If your talking bout Magic, one of my freinds made a good deck with my cards, he even beat me with it. I used his compition winniing deck, still lost, Magic I just suck.------------------

I never played Pokemon and never will.... I tend to stay away from the snotty nosed kids who play =)I played Magic... I had a few good decks... I had a white deck with kors that could redirect damage and other cards that were big on protection from black and red and some shadow creatures.... throw in some Paladin En-vecs and some empyrial armors and I was set to go... it was a white weenie deck.The other deck I had was for longer games.... it used Tradewind Riders and Awakenings. Had some capsizes, counterspells... was a green/blue deck.... pretty much the way I won was by returning everything back to their hands. My friends won't let me play that one anymore =(Another good deck I had was just a red direct damage deck using Ball Lightnings, nothing great, but was effective.------------------

Oy! I hate red decks. Espcially red/green ones....Turn one:Me: Whooho a land! *plays a swamp* your turn.
Brad: Whooho a land! *plays a mountain, taps it and casts lightning bolt* HAHAH
Me: Ow.Turn two:Me: *plays a swamp and casts Black knight*
Brad: *plays a forest, taps the mountain and casts lightning bolt on me, then taps his forest to play a Scryb Sprites*
Me: BastardTurn three:Me: *plays another swamp and casts Hypnotic Specter*
Brad: *grins devilishly, plays a foest and casts Channel, pumps up his mana to 14, taps a mountain and casts Fireball* YOU'RE DEAD!
Me: Aw, dammit. Lucky jerk.

I liked my white deck:Turn One:
They play a land mountain.
I play a Plains, tap it and put out a nomad en-kor (redirects damage)Turn two:
They play a mountain and usually kill my nomad =(
I play a shadow priest that has protection from red (mwahahahahaha)Turn 3:
They play a mountain and ut out a creature or maybe a ball lighting (6 points of damage to me, whhopty doo)
I play a plain tap it, put empyrial armor on my priest he's now a 7/2 with protection from red.Turn 4:
They try to do something that's not successful.
I play another empyrial armor, baddie is now a 14/2 and he is dead.------------------

Aw, man, I was NEVER that good at Magic. I tried to apply myself and make some good decks, but I unfortunately couldn't afford to get enough cards. That's the one problem with CCGs. The people who are kicking your ass are the ones that are blowing scads of cash on dumb pieces of paper. My FAVORITE type of competition, Magic-wise, were booster draft tournaments. ^_^ Buy a set amount of boosters, sit in a circle with others that did the same, pick one card and pass the piles around. I kick ass when it comes to putting together decks from random stuff.Man, this all makes me wish I could find the card shop around here again. The one I'd been visiting shut down.... ;_;------------------
