I have 3 things to say to you, JT.
1) I do remember that episode! Ahhh... Darkwing, how I miss you....
2) Gilligan's Planet was a cartoon that came on during the late 70s and early 80s by Filmation the great makers of cartoon crap, where those loveable castaways build a wooden spaceship to get off that god forsaken island and instead gets stranded on another planet (I'm not making this up, I even have a tape of it). It even has all of the actors (except Ginger who is played by Mary Ann O_o from the original show in it. It's got to be conceptually the stupidest idea for a cartoon I've ever heard of, and I just can't see how anyone would've thought it was a good idea.
3. With your love for Sonic, Troutman, maybe I shoulda' dressed you as Amy Rose instead of Robotnik
------------------

We've got a brand new story
About the cast-a-ways
We left our tiny island
After years and months and days
We build a little space ship
It's crude, but it could fly
We left home and lost our way
Between the stars and sky
We went from an island to a star
Lost on Gilligan's Planet!
Gilligan, and Skipper. The millionare, his wife
The Proffessor, the movie star and Mary Anne
Began a brand new life
What creatures we encounter
What riddles do we face?
What mysteries now haunt us?
In a strange enchanting place?
Adventures are the best by far
Here on Gilligan's Star--
Planet!
Oh yeah
Now that's funny.
------------------

good question
I was wondering more of why they built a space ship. I mean, their whole goal on the island was to get back to civilization. Not to another planet. Wouldn't an air plane have been more practical?
------------------

I believe that one day deep within the fortress of solitude that is the Filmation thinktank, Lou Schiemer and Paul Dini were smoking crack and Dini says, "You know what'd be cool? If the castaways on Gilligan's Island built a spaceship and got stranded on another planet!" and Lou gives Dini the thumbs up and says, "Go with it, Man! And add a little lizard thing as a mascot character. I wanna do his voice.". Then twenty years later after this travesty, Dini took a smart pill and wrote the ever so badass Batman Beyond movie.
